Bought new 8 years ago, only had to carry out minor ware and tear maintenance. Mileage = 150k. Great for long journeys.

In general the car is comfortable and reliable, safe and a good family car. Downside is the servicing and general maintenance is expensive.

Best all-round vehicle for my needs and wants. More than enough performance for public roads, great fuel economy, exceptional comfort, more than enough load space, fun when you want it, relaxed cruising when you want it, looks great too.

I've been very pleased with this car. It is very reliable and enjoyable to drive on all types of roads. Apart from a few minor electrical glitches, I've had no trouble with it in 10 years of driving. It still looks good and will probably run for several more years, if I keep it properly serviced.

I cannot fault the car with it being reasonably economicle and a good all round car.

A very comfortable and well made car with excellent performance and acceptable fuel economy. A most enjoyable car to drive. It performs very well on all roads giving good journey times on A roads as well as being an excellent motorway cruiser. Overall a most satisfactory car.

Having had 2 C Class coupe before my saloon I am already more than happy with Mercedes as a brand from a reliability and comfort point of view. Of course running and servicing costs can be high but its a prestige mark so you take this into account when buying. I would recommend a C Class Saloon to anyone, be they a small family or single person.

We have had this car from new for over 10 years and it is still extremely comfortable and a pleasure to drive

Generally a good car to drive - unfortunately parts are expensive and as it ages more repairs have proved necessary. However, if maintained properly it is economical (40+mpg)and with prompt acceleration. Main criticism is in the inaccessibility of safety harness and difficult access to rear seats.

I bought this car second hand in 2008 with 52000 miles on the clock - since then I have racked up a further 133000 miles without much problem - lately there has been a problem with the engine management light coming on - intitially showing a cat converter problem but it was reset and now is not comming on at all - car has had the bonnet resprayed due to stone chips but no other areas are showing rust - interior is leather and is very comfortable - the biggest problem with the car has been the number of springs that have been replaced - this is not due to the car or the parts but the state of the roads ( potholes ) in the area - especially when I was at work in Glasgow Generally very satified with my Merc

zero depreciation therefore meets most important criteria.

The Mercedes C class estate is a great versatile car. Blue efficiency mean s great fuel consumption. It is well kitted out. I'm much less tired after long journeys, say 300+ miles in a day

Good mileage to the gallon, easy to drive ,very smooth -perhaps not as comfortable as expected and limited space in rear as according to reviews.Very reliable gives one confidence to drive in poor weather. The headlights which follow the road very useful.Servicing reasonably priced and the local dealer provides a very good service.Would probably consider Mercedes again.

I find the Mercedes C class a comfortable and reliable car to travel long distances and arrive fresh and relaxed. It is economical for its size and the amount of equipment fitted i.e climate control, command system etc.

The Mercedes is a superb machine, but is hopelesss on snow , ice or sometimes even grass. If they offered a FWD alternative, I'd buy it without hesitation. An AWD Chelsea tractor is not an acceptable option, so I guess I'll stay in on the worst days of winter !
