Having bought the vehicle at 6 years old with 42,000 miles, I have had very reliable and cost effective motoring for over 30,000 miles. As a disabled driver it is comfortable and roomy and I can travel far and wide without any problems. Costs are less than I had with previous cars and spares are cheap and plentiful as supplied by the garage that has looked after me and my car for over 9 years. I will certainly keep to this model in future.

230,000 miles on the clock and the only serious repair was a cylinder head gasket about eight years ago.

Not comfortable for long legs & less room for back seat passengers than most other cars of its size

Enjoy acceleration from supercharged engine and excellant handling. Dislike high road tax arising from questionable emission rating.

A real long distance cruiser. For a big car it is economical with over 60 mpg achievable on a long run even when driven with a heavy right foot. Lovely acceleration for safe overtaking. Very comfortable interior with lots of cubby holes. Let down by Main Dealer service price - very expensive. I usually buy BMW's and this is my first Mercedes but doubt it will be my last.

This is my first Mercedes and I've been delighted with it. It makes for relaxed and safe motorway driving while still being handy on minor roads and in town. It's sirprisingly economical on petrol yet performance is excellent. The initial price may be high but depreciation seems reasonable and the servicing costs compare ok with my Mazda 3, a car I also rate highly.

Unbelevable value for money

My vehicle was a replacement for the previous model Mercedes C Class. I find it has improved considerably (not that the old one was bad). Comfort is better. Performance, despite a 400cc-smaller engine is the same, while economy is around 25 per cent better. The range of creature-comforts is extensive. All in all, a very good advertisement for Mercedes.

I do love my car, but these days it is rather large for my requirements but to change it would no doubt cost me quite a lot of money and I would in effect be downgrading my car. It is rather thirsty but I don't usually drive it very far these days as I find long distance bus travel far more economical and less stressful. Living in Wales I still find I do need a car for many journeys.

I love my car. It's stylish, comfortable, quiet, reliable and easy to drive. The diesel engine is quiet - yes, quiet - and very economic. (50+mpg) The downsides are the cost of servicing, road tax and tyres - I only get 18000 miles per set and at £400 for a new set they are expensive. The acceleration could be better but that's my fault for only getting the 125hp model. Depreciation is a killer so I will have to keep the car 10 years to get my money's worth. Hate the foot parking brake - can't hill start with it - but I've come to terms with it. All that said I'd buy it again.

Fantastic car, super fast, awesome brakes, lovely sounding exhaust. Get used to 220mls on an £85 fill of Super-unleaded only, find a tyre fitter who you get on with, because you'll be visiting him twice a year for rear tyres, expect Mercedes to rip you off with servicing costs because it carries an AMG badge, and as for the foot operated Park Brake - why Mercedes, why...?

A little heavy on petrol, but fast, comfortable and reliable - everything you would want in a car.
