I didn't know nissan micras existed until I got my own, so had no clue of how it would be for a first car. I absolutely love it. It's cheap to run, easy to drive, and I've been able to fit so much luggage in it despite it seeming to be small at first glance. Because of its age I had to purchase a separate aux cord from amazon to play music from my phone instead of using my charging cable like I've been able to in other cars, but that's not a big deal. It's very comfotorable. Also easy to squeeze into small parking spaces! The only downside I can think of is that it doesn't have air conditioning which means it becomes an absolute hot box in the summer, but my car is pretty old so it's kind of expected. Overall it's an amazing car for anyone looking for something cheap and reliable

I bought a 2004 Nissan Micra with 90000 miles on it and drove it for four years happily into the 130s and I think would have gone on much longer (Sadly was written off in an accident, in said accident, I was hit from behind by a HGV at 50 and walked away with only bruising and aches so the car crumpled before I did and has excellent safety) In that time I only had to have consumables replaced- brake pads and discs, some repair to track rods in suspension. An alignment and some wheel bearings. Being chain there’s also no cambelt to worry about. The car started pretty much first time and didn’t let me down. It was pretty cheap to run and the 16v made it just a little more pokey than standard 1.2. Super easy to drive and park, my next car is the same but a younger model so will report back on how that one goes.

Bought the 2015 Micra hatchback and found it to be very peppy, reliable and gas efficient. I pickup furniture with it and it is very roomy . Shocks are great, no problem. Had it for 7 years now and the only repair I made were the front rotors and brake pads. A fun little, economical car. I added some red and grey stripes to the white body and I get so many compliments on the sporty look! 140,000 kms. on it and I hope there are many more to come. I would buy this car again!

Bought the Micra new for my better half in 2010 as a run out model. The car is quite simply absolutely brilliant.

The Nissan Micra is a small car, but it’s also a small car that performs well with any situation thrown at it. After some time owning my 1.2 petrol Micra Sport, I can tell you all that you need to know, to save you having to dig around the internet to get all the facts and figures. My Micra performs extremely well on petrol, achieving anywhere between 48-55mpg, and getting about 700kms per tank, depending on how I drive it. The Micra is a very durable little hatchback, capable of motorway driving, but most ideal for city driving. It sports very light and decent steering, and a decent turning circle, giving you the ability to park just about anywhere and everywhere. The little 1.2 engine in my “Sport” trim is far from sporty, but with 80hp, it’s more than enough to get the little Micra moving. Despite being a Sport trim, it lacks a lot of creature comforts. It does feature a CD radio with four speakers, but lacks air conditioning, electric mirrors, front fog lights and body coloured handles and mirrors. Most annoyingly, the Micras one piece back bench does not allow for the seats to be split, and when the back seats are folded, they fold very awkwardly, making the carrying of larger things sometimes quite annoying. To avoid these issues, I would recommend you look for the “Sport +” which sports (Pardon the pun) alloy wheels, better seats, air con, as well as a few more goodies. Later models will also include these items as standard, from what I’ve read. The boot is by no means massive, meaning you will not be fitting much inside it, but it is more than capable of carrying 3 peoples camping equipment inside it, and folding its seat down will give you much more room to work with. The cars roof is quite high up, giving its occupants plenty of room, and legroom isn’t awful in the rear, but long journeys may cause passengers to feel uncomfortable. The cars stereo system is decent, considering it’s age, and cabin noise isn’t awful, although, thanks to its 5 speed gearbox, the engine will be rather loud at 120km/h, sitting at 3,500rpm at cruise. The Micra is very reliable. The amount on the road still just demonstrates how tough these little cars are, and parts are very plentiful, so don’t expect a massive repair bill. That’s all I can really say about the little Micra. Hopefully this has helped you in your decision on purchasing a Micra or not.

Had Nissan cars now since 1980. First one was the Nissan Sports which even my two children learned to drive in. This Vehicle had 112,000 miles on when I traded it in for my next Nissan Micra. Ive had 3 Micras now in total. Each Micra has lasted me an average 7 /8 yrs and I've purchased them used at 4yrs old. Great prices- I've total confidence in their performance. On the one and only breakdown Recovery -vehicle driver said they knew it had to be 'wheel trouble' as these cars are so reliable. (It was a ceased on brake shoe). My current Micra is 14 yrs old. It has driven me north to South of the country twice a year on holidays without a flinch. It now has 143,000 miles on the clock. It flies on motorways and hugs the roads. A comfortable 80 mph ride. Vehicle is pretty sound proof. Starts up in all weather's (not garaged) It's had its first precautionary 'warning' for its next mot Jan 2022. I had the clutch replaced at 100,000 miles. I've a 2 door and I'm aiming to find a 5 door next. I love the Nissan Micra long may it live. Trouble free motoring.

Having previously had the 1ltr eco boost fiesta I thought I’d try Nissan mainly because Ford no longer offered the spec on the fiesta I’d previously had and Nissan had lots for a smaller price. This cars has caused me endless headaches been back loads due to performance issue the car looses pulling away power it judders alot takes ages to warm up and falls flat when stoping and pulling away. Nissan claimed no issues with it when they looked at it.I complained again and they looked again and said it had corrosion on battery part changed that and that didn’t work . They then said I needed to drive car more as this model needs to be pushed to perform at its best????????♀️Iv never been told to drive a car to make it perform better and I’m on a pcp mileage agreement that sets me to low mileage so why sell the car on these plains if it requires you to drive it all the time to stop it’s bad performance. I’m due to change this car in October I shall be handing it back to Nissan and going elsewhere as Iv tried to trade in but the Nissan has lost alot of value more then the fiestas Iv owned in the first two years so I couldn’t do this with out great cost . No option but to just put up with it until October. Such a shame as the spec and tec on car I love just hate driving it

Low cost and simple, fine for short trips especially when only two passengers. Not for families or longer trips or those seeking real comfort.

This car has not been used much by the 2 previous owners. It has 8700 miles on the clock and looks brand new inside. Although the second day I try and turn the car on and it failed however, S&A cars from where I bought it have send there mechanic out today to have a look at it.

Bought her in 1998 as a showroom model and she has just passed another MOT! Starts first time and has never given me any bother. I am starting to look at other micras as I feel she will die the death soon! Almost 20 years of trouble free driving can't be bad.

My last car was a 15 year old Nissan Micra. In the 5 years I had her I never had any trouble and she started 1st time every time. This much newer version is like a breath of fresh air. She drives like a dream and I am so glad that I chose her. I am very happy with my choice. My niece has owned a 2006 Micra for a few years now and she still loves it. I would recommend it, especially for ladies.
