My car and I are good friends. I look after it and it looks after me. What could be better?

This is the sort of car I'd not get rid of until it was dropping to bits. Its reliable, starts in all weathers, is comfortable and although small is not cramped (however I am small myself). It has a decent size boot and being an older model many of the odd jobs on the engine I can still do myself without a PhD in Electronics! I'm dreading the day it starts rusting, yes, at 16 years old there's not one spot of rust on it yet and is apparently like a tank underneath still. I will most likely buy a new one which I've been saving for for years when this goes in the hope it lasts as long. Its a basic model, no SatNav or anything but I prefer a map anyway and I can't praise it enough. A reliable little runner and great on petrol both round the doors and longer journeys. Only thing it isn't good at is handling snowy weather. Better than a Renault Clio, but not as good as a Vauxhall Chevette!

this is a great little car. It is a special with alloy wheels and a few other cosmetic features. I bought it at 3 years old and and have had no major problems with it I commute to work daily (20 miles each way) and use it for leisure trips over the past 3 years I have been waiting for it to become un economic to drive or maintain.this hasn't happened and when I had it serviced and MOT this year the mechanic described it as 'mint' I average 10,000 miles per year - this little car has been a star I will probably buy another nissan when this one dies

I love my Nissan Micra. It has always been so reliable and is good value on fuel.

The new 5 door Nissan Micra is a great little car to drive. Mine has inbuilt SATNAV which is absolutely great, and as a result of this experience, any new car would have to have a SATNAV inbuilt. It also has heated front seats (cloth), and parking sensors all round. One of the best cars I've ever driven.

My Nissan Micra is perfect for my needs. I rarely drive very long distances, and my car is very reliable, easy to drive and plenty of space in the boot.

Practical and reliable run about.

I have run this car for the past 9 years with very little running costs apart from the usual tyres,brakes etc.I have just had an exhaust back and middle section replaced which is the only thing that has gone wrong with it until today when my powered steering let me down in the town hopefully it is just an electrical fault but worst case replacement is the only problem since t he purchase of the car. I would happily recommend the Nissan Micra to anyone who wants a small reliable and comfortable car I get around 52mpg on the motorway and 40 urban running what more do you want

My little Micra does all I expect from it. It's not fashionable but gets me from A to B in comfort.

Nissan Micra's have got to be one of the most reliable cars with fantastic engines. Not a single complaint about this car and its 14 years old! If only they still made them!

my micra is so easy to drive and park and is very fuel efficient, she is very 'nippy' around the country lanes and is everything I need in a small car, not to mention a low road tax band, I would certainly consider another one

Ive had this car for 10 years and was old when i bought it. I has been amazing and still going strong. I will keep it until it packs up for good

Bought the car for my wife who is thrilled with it especially as we seem to have just entered a heat wave, being able to put the roof down at the press of a button is so easy. I do feel that the car lacks something when on the motorway especially as it is revving very highly at 70mph and it feels as though it wants another gear!! Having said this it's a great car for around town. Bought it from Coastal car sales in Ferndown after searching the internet for one, they were very efficient and included a 6 months warrantee but when I took the car to Halfords Auto centre the preferred garage three days later to sort out the rattling roof it was not covered by the warrantee and I had to pay out £50 to have it ajusted (not a happy bunny) Emailed Coastal car sales but clearly they don,t respond to email as this was the third email that was ignored! Although Halfords Auto Centre fixed the fault I will be looking for a reliable garage to maintain the car as I will not be returning to Halfords any time soon after this experience.
