A very comfortable and practical estate. Good to drive and very adequate performance. DPF can give rise to problems if car used for repeated short jouneys. Good economy on long journeys (40-50 mpg) and low 30s (mpg) for shorter trips.

It is a pity that Saab has gone out of production. Good design and original thinking plus well made engineering have been lost.Europe needs things to be made nearer home with the skills retained.

Have really enjoyed my SAAB driving experience until my car hit the 65,000 mark. Now one thing after another seems to go wrong.

Comfortable long journeys, proved reliable. Excellent touring for in UK & Europe, holds as much luggage as we require. If for 4 people luggage space probably not big enough. Economical on long journeys. Being 180hp good acceleration, cruises with little wind and road noise.

I bought my Saab 93 convertible when it was 18 months old and had 30,000 miles on the clock. It has now done just over 80,000 miles and seems good for quite a lot more. If you want a car that will beat a Porsche to 60mph or one that will take corners like a Caterham, this is not the car for you. However, it is far from sluggish and the handling is fine despite it being based on the old Vectra chassis. Servicing costs have been pretty reasonable, but I would like a car that can do better than 33 miles to the gallon. It's a comfortable car with leather bucket seats. I suffer from a bad back, but I am perfectly happy to drive the Saab relatively long distances. As regards reliability, I can't fault it because it hasn't let me down as yet. It's not the most practical of cars in terms of rear seat passenger space and you can't fold the rear seats down to create extra boot space, but then you don't buy a convertible coupe if these are your main considerations. Would I buy another Saab? Probably not, but this is mainly because they've stopped making them, the technology is rapidly being overtaken by others and getting spares might become an issue in the future.

Getting dated but great for my needs. Huge carrying capacity and excellent performance. If Saab still existed I would be replacing it with a newer model. I have experienced some faults with the transmission but not enough to put me off.

Has been an excellent car in all weather conditions and has been very reliable had a few problems with the alternator have had two replaced fortunately one was within the warranty period and Saab paid without any quibble .I would bye a Saab again if they had not gone out of business

A very good looking car, suspension slightly too hard, reasonable mpg, easy to drive, reliable, starts well and stops well. All round vision could be better. Obviously with SAAB closing down mechanical work being carried out by suitably qualified mechanics more expensive and very scarce.

My faithful old Saab 93 may not be the most economical car around but it was great value to purchase and just keeps going and going, so I saved up front and only pay a little extra than average to run. If you want a lot of car for not a lot of money then you could do much worse - executive quality, safe, secure, responsive to drive, comfortable for driver and passengers and a cavernous boot. What's not to like?!

This is our third SAAB and I tend to keep them until they are no longer reliable. Present car is still entirely reliable at 114,500 miles (though it has let me down once or twice in the past). It has more performance than I need and is the most polite car I have owned. It does, however, lack some desirable features that have been introduced in the last twelve years and its petrol consumption (especially for short journies) is poor. It is such a pity that Saab is now defunct. But, if it was not defunct, my next car would probably not be a Saab since they have tended to get lower and sportier and my wife and I now need something easier to get into and out of - to step up to enter rather than slide in.

We have been very happy with the Saab until recently, when in the last year we found small niggly problems propping up. The fan is now noisy; the driver automatic window is shutting and then coming down slightly; one of the doors does not work with central locking and has to be managed manually. On the other hand, the cruise control, leather seats, inbuilt satnav, etc. etc. do give a lot of comfort and pleasure in driving.

On my second Saab in the last 6 years, both from new, I have greatly enjoyed both the ownership and driving experience. My current twin turbo model is a pleasure to drive and, with a reasonably light right foot, returns good milege figures per gallon. Almost all who have travelled in them commented positively on the comfort and level of spec in the car. Other than tyres and regular servicing, I have experienced no mechanical repair issues with either car. All that despite General Motors involvement and their attempts to destroy Saab's individualit!

This is my second Sportswagon. I love it to bits. The drive is smooth and responsive. Comfort is 2nd to none. I love the driving position you can see all clocks and button.
