Chose it again as it is so versatile in transporting everything from grandkids with bikes and buggies, to aged parents with mobility issues. Very economical, comfortable on long journeys, ahoy to drive.

XL version gives plenty of space. No reliability problems. About 48 to 50mpg. A slightly harsh ride.

Seats like their sister cars Skoda are VW/Audi mechanicals and therefore pretty damn good. I have owned this car for nearly 4 years now and it has not missed a beat. It is most definitely one of the most economical cars I have owned especially for the size of the engine.Comfort cannot be faulted and space is awesome particularly when the rear seats are folded. The seats fold flat so the space is from the rear door to the back of the front seats. From a standing start it will not take on the sportier cars but it is strong and a good puller, I tow a large twin axle trailer with weight in and have never had a problem even on a steep gradient. In a nutshell it's a very likeable piece of kit. I would definitely buy another. TW

Very comfortable car reliable and spacious.

Extremely pleased with this car, previously had standard Altea. Diesel much more economical than 1.6 petrol.Large boot and plenty of room in car, very large rear seat footwell. Well equiped, £30 ROAD TAX and reasonable insurance rate.

This is my second Altea TDI. I have been impressed by its comfort and reliability. The 5* NCAP rating is a good too. Its not the fastest car off at the lights but you will pass the others filling up at the pumps down the road! The only negative point about the car is the thick window support bars, which can effect viewing in some situations. However, this is what gives the car strength for that 5* rating! I think you can tell I just love my Altea and its a bargain to keep on the road too!

Good smooth driving car economical and comfortable

I have owned the car for six and a half years in which I have covered approximately 56,000 miles. For the first 5 years, the car performed reliably and was faultless in every way. Is was beautiful to drive, reliable and an excellent purchase. However, over the last 18 months it has gone downhill. It has developed several faults including a failed window motor, clutch and gearbox no longer smooth, smells from the air conditioning (although this has now rectified itself), and trouble starting. This is a shame considering how good it was to begin with. I would still recommend the car because I am sure that the problems are pertaining to my vehicle only rather than a SEAT-wide issue.

Lovely car nice and spacious very comfortable only criticism is the high co2 emissions for a 1.6litre engine.
