I am very happy with my Skoda. I admit, when a Skoda was first mentioned, that I thought "Oh no, I'll be laughed at!". However, she is the best car I have had for comfort, reliability, ease of parking, economy.

The best car I have ever had. Does 47mpg on a regular basis. Serviced every year so just normal costs.

I find the Skoda range of models very pleasing to the eye. My model is a Fabia 1.4 TD. I am very happy with it and find the MPG very satisfactory. It is easy to handle, has good all round vision ie-: no black spots. I am afraid I don't have much skill putting in writing what I try to convey but would recommend any of the Skoda range and advise people to make up their own mind. I would certainly by another one if I ever fancied changing the one I have now

My skoda fabia 1.4 comfort is a very reliable car,it hasn't let me down in the 4years ive had it, there is plenty of room in the back and benefits from the rear seats folding flat or to create even more space they can be removed, it has a great sound system with 8 speakers dotted around the car,not bad size boot probably fit 4/5 bags of shopping in it, i find it a bit juicy on petrol around town though but not bad on a run,i love my skoda and would buy another but probably a diesel or 1.2 next time cheaper to run!

I have had this car for 9 years now. Most of the time it has been reliable though the electrics - door locks and front windows are giving increasing trouble. (I'd love to have all manual windows like in my previous car - I also enjoy having a tape-player rather than a CD player). On long trips I often get 65-70 miles to the gallon and I usually get over 60 in day to day use - which involves lots of short (1-10 mile) trips. I find diesel cars generally much easier to drive - especially in heavy, crawling traffic. I'm not sure this 2002 Skioda will last as long as some of the old Felicias I see around, but it's not doing badly.

Owned the car from new and always dealer serviced. M.P.G. I live in Rural West Wales so my shortest journey would be to the nearest shop, 12 miles, all other runs are much longer ie. days out, either way I manage around 55 to 60 mpg. I should add that I almost never go over 55 mph. The car is galvanised so no rust and it's very well made and reliable, what you expect from a car in the VW group. Lots of room for everything in the car you could ever wish to carry. Cheap to insure and service. 10/10

This Fabia has an amazing amount of room for a small car. It must be the biggest "small" car on the market. We fit everything in it that we used to get into our family estate car & it is very versatile with the split seats. Not very powerful, with the small engine, but will still do a steady 70mph on the Motorway so what more is needed? Very cheap to insure & reasonable running costs. Four adults can fit in with comfort (five with a bit of a squeeze) & it has a surprising amount of leg room in the back. Over the four years I've owned it, I've never had any trouble with it - it's always been reliable - & for the price I paid for it I think it was excellent value. It's not very stylish or aerodynamic, but then I didn't pay the price for a sporty model. This one gets me from A to B safe, warm & dry. Well done, Skoda!

This vehicle is a very comfortable drive for both driver and passengers. It is responsive and economical. I am really pleased with its performance and feel safe driving it.

Bought this as a replacement for Daihatsu and I'm so glad I did, it's a great little car. Very economical to run, comfy and servicing required is absolutely minimal.

Nothing special - just cheap to run, reliable and practical - but that's exactly what I want from a car.

THis my second Skoda Fabia diesel (100bhp) is not quite as fuel efficient as the first which had the same engine. But, 57 mpg in winter and l 60 mpg in summer is OK even with 70 mph driving. However, the cam belt needs changing too often, the door lock failed once and the reverse parking beeper has failed for the second time and now the synchro into second gear does not work which means it grates if I change too quickly. Its too expensive to repair given that it works OK if I change slowly. But it means its difficult to sell until its older.

had a 1900 comfort mk 1 and enjoyed it, needed a new one as I wrote it off (!) and happy to go for a mk2 tdi. Improvements out weigh the negative points - main point over mk1 is the proper seal on back doors which no longer sucks water up, mpg excellent - driving up and down peak district hills still gets me at least 55mpg up to 70mpg on motorway trip. Don't like only having one light in the boot as I use it a lot including at night, and the mk 1 had a really neat storage area on the parcel shelf. Acceleration good and certainly sees me ok around these roads. Put a pair of winter treads on, with snow chains on the rear seat as a backup, and you can pretty much get anywhere in winter - only problem is clearance isn't great but I'm more than happy driving round this area in winter Would I buy a third one? Definitely.

bought as an ex demo nearly 10 years ago, my Skoda Fabia Elegance is the most fun, most reliable, car I have ever driven. It has also been incredibly good value for money. I hope when I replace it that I can be as lucky again!

Engine provides superb average of 60 - 70 mpg. Few problems. Never broken down. Enough power for reliable over taking and high motorway speeds.

My car has the original 8-valve engine, developed from the old unit used in previous Skoda vehicles. It is reasonably lively but economy is poor by modern standards. It is certainly not exciting to drive; rather it is comfortable and engenders confidence. It gets a mixture of local and log distance trips and quite often has a trailer or folding caravan behind it. It has been reliable, and durable. When parts have been required they have been readily available at reasonable cost. One remarkably poor piece of design is the location of the electric power steering pump and fluid reservoir. The easiest way to check the fluid level, and the only way to top it up, is to remove the air filter box, the battery and then the battery box. It's not surprising the level is so often ignored until it's too late. In a car in which so much is well designed, this deficiency is surprising. All together I have been very pleased with the Fabia and will probably buy another when this one finally expires.

I've had several Skodas, and they have all proved reliable and cheap to own and run. They are comfortable, well-equipped (commensurate with the standard of equipment chosen), and reliable. Performance is more than adequate. I pity those people so unsure of themselves they need to pay oodles more for the same performance, reliability and comfort, just to satisfy their insecurities and pursuit of 'status'. Fools all.
