Want two cars in one - BUY a convertable. The Audi A4 offers a comfortable, reliable driving experience. It accomodates a solid motorway drive with the knowledge of the Audi pedigree or can transform into an enjoyable country drive with the wind in your hair experience.

Comfortable for commuting. Comfortable on the motorway. Great for packing in everything you need for a family trip or holiday. A great workhorse.

Had the VW Passat, this car now feels so much more 'designed' and smoother contours. Good speed, sounds great and very comfortable. Does have a bit of turbo-lag, but on the whole, this is a good car

My old Audi is now 15 years old, and I have had it for 5 years. I have never had such a reliable car and such a practical car. I'm just sad that it's now getting so old that I have to consider replacing it. Family commitments mean that I want something a little cheaper to run (Tax is high and the car does 32 to the gallon), and safer (3* EURO NCAP).

Am very happy with this car with its superb build quality and reliability. At a total mileage of 113k have only decided to change it to secure better vehicle tax rate and fuel consumption

Not only is the car comfortable to drive it is solid and safe (as experienced when car was rear-ended on the A12 at high impact). Long drive from Essex to Scotland and exit the car without undue discomfort. Expensive to fill with fuel but economical on long distance drives. High end interior makes being a passenger a pleasant experience.

Generally I am pleased with the car as shown in ratings. However I am not too impressed with the electronic hand brake.

This car is very practical for a family man with normal loads to carry (shopping, luggage etc) It is economical if one drives sensibly and can keep up with all traffic conditions. It has a "presence" on the road, and is easy to park and move around. Would I buy another? Yes.

Fun to drive, but thirsty (27 mpg) and expensive to service/repair if going to Audi

Not an exiting car to drive, in fact, it's quite boring. It does all it is meant to do but lacks "thrill". It has limited rear seat space compared to previous cars. I tried the A4 Black Edition and it the most uncomfortable car I have ever driven. Running costs are not bad but I wonder how they calculate the mpg! I don't speed and don't use motorways but the mpg achieved is well below that advertised. My next car will not be an Audi.

I have just got my new car and like it

I love this car but as my family has grown it seems to have shrunk in size!!! Its speed, comfort and reliability has seen us through many happy years. Thank you Audi

Mechanically, this is the best car I have ever owned. It's like driving on a magic carpet. It is a powerful motor car with excellent road-holding qualities, smooth transmission and a high level of comfort for both driver and passengers. It is not cheap to run however, which I expected, but the cost of fuel can be eye-wateringly high. My only problem with it is the lack of durability of the paintwork on the front grille. I've only had the car a year, and have had to repair numerous paint chips, a crack on the radiator grille, and a cover for a headlamp washer which fell off on the motorway after I struck a bird. The front of the car seems to be made of bone china rather than metal.

Much better fuel consumption than I was expecting (way better than my previous Vauxhall Insignia). Level of 'gadgets' and 'gizmos' a litte disappointing (again compared to my previous Insignia) - no heated front seats, no electric folding mirrors, no electric operated drivers seat adjustment, no automatic sensing main beam, no adaptive forward headlights. Does have DVD Player though which is useful when stuck in a long traffic jam. Big gripe about the car is the uncomfortable seats - absolutely awful after about an hours driving. Vauxhall seating was much comfier and could do a two hour drive without any problems whatsoever.
