A real little driver's car. Goes exactly where it's pointed with safe, secure handling. Good brakes, willing little engine and smooth gearchange. Driving position very comfortable with loads of adjustment. Economical to tax, good fuel economy and low insurance. What's not to like? I do think the styling's a little over sculpted for my tastes - I preferred the previous model's more neat and understated looks, inside and out. As regards the range, unlike other manufacturers it was possible to get a car just as I wanted it without having to buy a lot of totally un-necessary gadgets and accessories I didn't want. (ie air conditioning, alloy wheels, self activating wipers and lights, blacked out rear windows, that sort of nonsense) What I have instead is a well engineered honest little car, rather than something like a Christmas tree dripping with 'goodies'. I could even have a spare wheel, a great luxury in today's crazy car market! Will I ever be able to get such a car in the future? I very much doubt it.

for a small car the Fiesta is almost as good as the Focus I had before and the only comment I would make is on the smaller transmission which is not as smooth as the focus I had but overall I am very pleased and would not go back to the new Focus as they seem to be getting larger than I want even in an intermediate size car

Efficient, reliable, sporty, fun to drive, small on the outside big enough on the inside.

My 3rd Fiesta, they are a reliable, cheap to buy and run basic car that does the job well. Apart from routine servicing and two new tyres, I have just had the first repair bill at 48000 miles, which I consider very good going.

I have owned this car for about 4 months --it's ok but not very nippy like the escort that I have

Purchased 3 months ago cheap to run, reliable quite comfortable for size, handling superb. Controls ans extras all good. getting 48 m.p.g. no run over 30 miles long. Ideal small family car, have just downsized from a Ford Focus and there is little difference in comfort and handling. Great car.

a reliable little car which is easy to drive and easy to park. Its a zetec model so has plenty of kit.The downside is the fuel economy is ok but not brilliant and road tax cost is £125 per year which again is ok but could be better.

Nice, responsive, well handling little car, with good spec - (grey leather trim, auto headlights/wipers, power windows/folding mirrors, electric heated windscreen and mirrors, A/C, Front fog/driving lights, Sony DAB stereo). Brought it from Ford franchise dealership with free M.O.T's for life, two year fixed price servicing and two year warranty. The car was bought with 40,000miles done (now has 50,000) and full service history with the same dealership. The car inconveniently suffered a split coolant hose shortly after purchase date (though, this can happen to any vehicle and was just unfortunate); It has recently experienced a minor intermittant misfire under acceleration (tends to occur with cooler/moist conditions) but this should improve with a relitively inexpensive replacement coil pack. Overall, a good looking car, great spec, nice to drive or be driven in and very reasonable running costs.

Comfortable run-a-round car for errands, shopping etc and long distance trips. Only downside is limited boot space for holiday cases.

Cheap little runabout, some engines more efficient than others. Avoid rust and servicing will be cheap. No frills at all but surprisingly nippy, just don't crash.

Great nippy ,comfortable car. A pleasure to drive and own. Does everything I ask of it.Probably one of the best cars I have ever owned. Not particularly practical (could do with more room for rear passengers). The front passenger seat is annoying as it has no memory and does not return to its position prior to letting passengers in.

I enjoy the fiesta for the ease of driving and comfort. It is large enough to be spacious but small enough to park. On a long run it is comfortable. Why do I need anything bigger?

Excellent all-round car. good fuel economy and low tax and insurance. Only downside is that brakes can grab at times even under gentle braking. Been back to dealer on two occasions but was told that no problem found but did admit other owners had complained of similar problem.

A small hatchback which is easy to park & drive and fairly economic to run on fuel, tax, insurance and servicing. Not brilliant for long journeys, but a reasonable compromise if most of your driving is short distances. One design fault - the front suspension springs are fragile. We've had to replace both (at separate times) after they broke hitting shallow potholes. Garages said they had repaired several Fiesta front springs. Otherwise no complaints. Cheap and reliable runaround with reasonable boot space, especially with the rear seats folded down. Franchised dealers charge too much for servicing and repairs so we go to a good non-franchised garage now.
