Really like my 1 litre ecoboost. Comfy and with a little bit of speed when I need it

a great car - good to drive and relatively cheap to run but road tax quite high due to age.

After 16 years, 4 owners and a bit of TLC, this little car is still going strong. Low to insure and run, a great first car - very well put together and generally reliable. The main issue nowadays is meeting the MOT emissions standards. The tests for my car over the last couple of years have struggled to meet modern standards, based upon more modern, 'greener' cars. However, I have never spent more than £100 on fix ups/improvements/upgraded replacements per year. Still has plenty of life in it even after all this time. The only negatives about performance I can report would be that the non-power steering is very heavy and can be hard to manoeuvre. Acceleration is not fantastic, and as such I tend to avoid using motorways, as it is more suited to be a runner for smaller roads where overtaking isn't as much of an option! But overall, fairly impressed for what it is.

I am extremely happy with my Ford Fiesta

This is a small car but it is completely suitable in all respects for my wife and I(we are both octogenarians) as we use it simply to go into town and to the out-of-town shops. It is easy to drive and to park and is quite comfortable. I previously drove a Citroen C5 while in business and drove throughout Britain and also on the Continent

I am very pleased with my Ford Fiesta, but it is only doing an average of 28mpg. Surprising for a small car, although the garage says this is ok for an automatic. Otherwise a comfortable drive.

Had a Focus previously which was larger and had more room inside and in the boot. I dont carry passengers very often so the size is okay. Prefer a hatchback to allow flexibility (folding down rear seats, boot size). Dont feel it is particularly economical. Overall though so far I like the Fiesta as it feels neat and looks quite smart. On Fords generally I dont feel that they are of the same quality that they used to be. We have two in our family of different types and both seem to show wear and tear more quickly.

I really enjoy driving my car, which is comfortable and spacious.

I think that the car is great and good to drive. Petrol consumption is higher than expected. All round motoring gives around 39mpg.

I have a 13 year old fiesta. Very low mileage (48000)Excellant condition for its year, though feeling a little old hat after travelling in its year 2013 younger brother. I could put up with the lack of air conditioning and heated windscreen. The wifi whatsits and the blue ray this and that are irrelevant to me. The poor performance on mpg and road tax i pay are another thing completely. I love my old fiesta and make sure it is always looked after. No doubt a youngster looking for a first car, or some family looking for a cheap second car would love it. but frankly I am counting the months till i can walk in to my dealer and order my first ever totally new car.

small car for local runabouts - does well on occasional long journeys. fairly economical to run

Had the car since driving it out the showroom as an ex-demonstrator, always been reliable and is good fun to drive. Tons of room in the boot for the size of the car, just a little squeezed when putting passengers in the back. Can't fault it.

Very reliable and a good runner but becoming expensive with aging engine which burns some oil. Bodywork failing & upholstery getting tired, but no real complaints as it's lasted 20 years, 10 of which have been with me in the driving seat. A solid, basic model - handles well in the snow and never failed to start in any weather conditions encountered. Shame they don't make them like that anymore!

This is my 14th or 15th Fiesta, I have bought them from new since 1983 changing my car every 2 years. All I can say is that they get better every time. This current model is a 1000ml engine with a turbo. Fuel efficiency is 20 to 24% better than the last model and the performance is excellent.

My fiesta is a great little car and its fabulous for me I know it wont be everybody cup of tea but that is only to be expected. Just like trucks we all have our likes and I wouldn't give you a fiver for that piece of junk even if its brand new. And that all I can say my car great for me and that's all that matters to me

I bought this car from a main dealer in 2006 when it was 2 years old, with 29000 miles on the clock. The performance is not exciting but I get 50mpg and low cost insurance. The ride is quite comfortable, and the car has run perfectly with no faults during the 7 years I have had it. The mileage is now 66000 miles and I hope to run it for at least 2 more years if it is still economical to do so.

I chose the Zetec version, which had an extras package offerred at the time by Ford. The dealer was very co-operative when it came to haggling, eventually giving me well over the value of my trade-in to seal the deal. By taking a Ford finance package (repaid early) for a small part of the price, a cashback sum was included. I waited until late March to approach the showroom, with a good idea of the deal I wanted. I have found that the 1.2 engine is a bit underpowered for the hilly area we live in, so I will try a 1.4 next time. The seats are fairly comfortable ( I am 6ft. 1 in.) for up to about 2 hours, which I rarely exceed. The gearbox is very smooth and precise, and the handling is quite enjoyable, with light steering and responsive brakes. The car feels solidly constructed and nothing has dropped off or failed after 16000 miles. Fuel consumption (pottering on weekdays) is around 35 mpg, and on a long run, 45 mpg or better. Servicing by the local Ford dealership has been free of problems, with no expensive or unexpected charges. They can supply good quality tyres for competitive prices too. I'd like the back seats to fold down flat, instead of sloping, but the rear seat cushion is fixed, not tilting, making that unachievable. The only disappointment has been that the driver's door paint, over time, has lightened in shade relative to the rest of the car, making it look resprayed. If you fail to notify such items within 6 weeks of taking delivery, Ford will not consider it under the warranty terms.
