I need a car that gets me from A to B and is reliable. I don't want anything fancy. I can park my fiesta easily and turn it round easily in the cul-de-sac where I live. As I don't have young children any more It is big enough foe two but can take more people when needed to. There is plenty of room for shopping or holiday luggage. But there are some gripes - no windscreen heater and it mists up easily in the rain. It is quite noisy at 70mph and as it gets older I am not getting as many mpg. I get it serviced once a year and do not suffer from a lot of breakdowns - in spite of a high mileage. However I have had to replace the clutch twice and it doesn't like being reversed uphill. Mine is red - I wouldn't want a darker colour as dark cars get too hot in the summer.

I have driven Fiestas for years and found each one very reliable. I bought the Eco on in January this year as I needed something more economical than the model had, a 1.25 petrol model. However, with hindsight I would not have bothered. Although we are always being told that estimated fuel figures are not to be taken as "actual" - in this case 53 urban cycle, 65 combined and 75 extra urban, I would have to say DON'T BOTHER! Most of my driving - maybe 80% is on distances of 20 miles +. I can never rely on getting more than 50mpg. I am not heavy footed, generally drive on the open road at 55 - 60 mph. I think Ford need to readjust their figures as the reality is so far removed from the expectation. Save your money!!

I have had this car from new and it is one of many ford cars I have had over 30 odd years. touch wood I have not had a problem with any of them.

Left to myself I would have chosen a smaller car as I don't make long journeys at the moment due to my personal circumstances. A knowledgeable friend was keen that I should buy a Fiesta, and I'm glad I took his advice. Once I'd got accustomed to the space it took up on the road and in a car park I found it easy and comfortable to drive and totally reliable. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Fiesta in the future.

It is a car to forget about - get in & drive. Unfussy. Too numerous to feel special. I wish it had a temperature guage though.

Smooth to drive but a bit underpowered on hills. Nice interior with some good features. No spare wheel which I don't like. 41 MPG overall which I find reasonable. Had to have windscreen wipers replaced at 3000 miles because of heavy smearing.

I have driven Fiestas since 1981. They just get better and better. Ford just go from strength to strength and I will never look at any other manufacturer.

Cons Slightly under powered, the low profile tyres not suited for local road conditions potholes, sleeping policemen. Pros Comfortable, climate control very good, entertainment very good. Fuel 42 - 45 mpg.

First ford I've own since my Mondeo TTDI and must say impressed. It's quick it's small it's light it's good on fuel and servicing cost is pretty low. I have had ST200 but the running costs where very high and performance was super but this fiesta is just as quick with lower running costs! A full tank costing just over £40 is a great job and most servicing can be done if you have a little know how!!!!

I like driving Fords, and the current one is practical, easy to handle and economical. Its storage capacity is a great advantage when motoring abroad. Great car!

I bought my Fiesta from new in 2005, and have always been very satisfied with it.

I usually own a bigger car (last one was an Astra) But the Fiesta is now much bigger now than in the past. It is easier to park and fit into the garage. The road holding, performance and comfort levels are good. The road tax and car insurance are also much lower and therefore I am pleased with my new car.

I have owned this car for nearly seven years and have found it to be ideal for my needs re size, performance, economy and reliability. My only expensive problem was with blocked fuel injectors.I don't travel long distances so the comfort is adequate.

Lovely car for town work. OK on the motorway but you need to keep to the speed limits, which is no bad thing.

Having owned 3 other Fiestas prior to this one I have found that this one has been the worst for niggling faults that have not ocurred on my other cars. For example spring breaking, clutch pedal failing and most annoying the seat folding mechanism failing.

The eco boost engine is nippy a good town drive, good fuel consumption on long and short trips. Low emissions mean no car tax. Engine has optional shut down when stationary and at traffic lights, I like it. Very quiet drive just a bit of wind noise. The heated front screen is a boon in winter, however it does "glisten" like glitter in the glass, when the sun catches it at certain angles and this can limit front vision especially when wet.

Purchased my car in August and love it. I had a focus before this fiesta and loved that to. The fiesta looks good and is very economical with lower running costs than my focus. There is still plenty of room inside and in the boot and has lots of small extra features that just make this a lovely car. Just love it

The car is comfortable and has a lot of extras that one does not find in other comparable cars.

Although it doesn't get the 55mpg+ average that I was promised at the point of purchase I'm happy with an average of 49 which costs me about £42 per 420 miles with current petrol prices £1.27p/l, this is a significant improvement on my old car which was about £65 per 250! The handling is good, the features are good, my only criticism is the tyres, they are low end Pirellis that came with it and get very slippy in the wet. The acceleration is amazing for a 1.0 litre car thanks to the turbo charger. All in all very happy!
