Having had many cars over my 50 years of driving, some big some small, sporty models and some very nice saloons, I can honestly say that my current car is perfect for all my needs as an older driver. This is my second Fiesta, more comfortable than my last one and still very efficient and ideal for my own needs.

This is the latest of many Fiestas I have owned. None has given me any problems. Find it heavier on petrol than my manual models, but very satisfied overall.

This is the first Ford I've bought but I am very pleased with it. I purchased it from Ford and it was nearly a year old with just 1800 miles on the clock. It still hasn't done more than 2500. I seem to get more than 60 to the gallon , travel in comfort and am very happy with it so far.

I've owned 3 different Fiestas over the last 10 years, all bought 2nd hand within 1-2 years of registration. All have been very good: reliable, pretty cheap to run, quite nippy and surprisingly spacious. The best one is my current one, with the 1.6l engine, though a little more expensive on petrol. Bearing in mind this is a family car, 2 adults & 2 young children, it does pretty well on the whole, despite its size. Most of my cars have been Fords: they're generally pretty cheap & easy to maintain and you'll never have trouble getting parts - and they've been very reliable.

My car is ideal for the Isle of Wight where I live. I rarely take it off the island and use it principally for shopping and the tip.The space is very adaptable and the car is comfortable to drive and fuel efficient.

So far it has been a great car spacious enough for my needs and the eco boost engine hardly drinks any petrol but still give the performance of a larger normally aspirated 1.6 engine. The interior is quite well designed and functional with the ICE exactly what I require for the daily commute to and from work

Excellent car with no problems.Interior space not the best but excels in every other way, a very comfortable car with great handling. Would recommend.

Purchased this Ford Fiesta after always driving Vauxhall cars from the Viva to the 2008 Astra 1.4 Sxi. After looking at the new Astra 2011 model I was very disappointed in the build quality and the overall drive and equipment provided. The Fiesta is very comfortable, easy to drive and the diversity of equipment is exceptional. After driving this car the fuel consumption is less, the handling is good and the insurance is reasonable. The capacity of the boot is good and the driving position is easily changed. Both my wife and I are really pleased we made this purchase.

A good car for the purpose needed at the moment - not much annual mileage in retirement - comfortable and reasonable running expenses.

I downsized from a focus to a fiesta...a wee bit small for me but I think I did right.

This is an exceptional little car which I have had from new. The one litre turbo charged engine has delivered 50mpg in a year in which it has had an equal amount of long and short runs. It responds immediately to a touch on the throttle providing better acceleration than the previous 1.4, although you need to get used to driving in 3rd gear for 30mph in town and it doesn't like 5th gear much below 50mph. The car is comfortable to drive and the road holding is superb. With good looks and no road tax what more could you want in a small car. Lawy

On long journeys this is a good little car with low fuel consumption, however around town it is rather expensive. It is very reliable and I have been abroad in it several times. I am very happy with my little car, as I live in the country with very limited public transport I need it and cannot do without it.

Ultimate plug-and-play runabout. Comfortable and well equipped in Zetec form. Great chassis and handling. Adequate accomodation. Does what it says on the tin with minimum fuss. Good economy when driven carefully. Engine needs to be stretched to get best performance, but at cost to economy. Servicing costs competitive at main dealers. Had six of these to date without major issues.

This car has proved to be so reliable - much more than any of my other cars and I am loath to change it. It is not hard on fuel consumption.

Good little car, comfortable drive, fairly economic, average mpg 47 over all types of journeys.

We find this car comfortable and fairly economical. Because it has no rear doors the front doors are quite large so opening them in confined spaces is difficult.

My Fiesta Ghia is now 8 years old and has covered 49,000 miles. It has had regular servicing and proved very reliable during my ownership. It delivers an average fuel consumption of 8.5 mile/litre.

A little underpowered for my liking, and needed considerable running in when new, but actually punches above its weight in terms of performance and is a comfortable drive. However, I have real reservations about its structural and fabricatory quality. Despite a distinct lack of wear and tear for its age, small interior parts are showing a lack of resilience (knobs, handles, etc), which makes me worry about the likely longevity of its more fundamental components - i.e. what is going on under the bonnet. I get it serviced regularly and thoroughly, but doubt it will soldier on for anywhere near as long as my previous car (a Rover). It also suffers from a distinct image problem! While this doesn't bother me per se, it has implications for the driving experience - never before have so many other motorists pulled out in front of me, carved me up, tailgated me, etc. There seems to be an assumption that drivers of silver Ford Fiestas will be doddery old idiots that it is best to get in front of - with somewhat dangerous implications. I didn't actively choose this car - it was taken over from a family member - and have not been displeased with it all considered, but given a free choice I would not buy another.

Hindsight shows I got the wrong car. I need an automatic for mobility reasons but the high emissions and the petrol consumption are very high. I (We) are retired so do not do many longer journeys now so our usage does not encourage fuel economy. Being pensioners cannot really afford to change car as would get poor part exchange deal. Should have investigated market more thoroughly before purchase, but having always used Ford cars, at the time thought I had a good purchase. Liked the car, liked the automatic gears, liked the comfort. At time of purchase did longer journeys to visit grandchildren etc. Now circumstances have changed and realise should have got smaller automatic with LOWER EMMISION engine. My own fault I suppose but perhaps could have received better advice from Ford seller!
