For many years I had Ford Mondeo's , now ther is only my wife and I to consider , it seemed sensible to purchase a smaller car , I have had a couple of Ford Focus , have been pleased with their performance and like the new position and style of the handbrake rather than when it was near the passenger . there's also plenty of room to transport items and just have to take front wheel off my bike to get in . All in all good reliable car and intend to stick with the Focus.

This car is the most comfortable car that I've ever driven. It has all the extras for a car of that year. We bought it for it's reliability and economy. Because it is an estate car it can carry a great deal, as much as a small van but with much greater visibility. Air conditioning is great; I would not want to be without it now that we get extremely hot days in summer. It has a full sized spare wheel (most modern cars don't!). Drawbacks:- 1, Engine size = road tax is expensive. 2, longer than average car makes it difficult to park near our home as we are in a restricted parking zone area and others often park badly leaving a space you could only get a Smart car in. 3, As with many cars you can't see where the bonnet and the boot end ( parking sensors would help).

I have been very pleased with my old ford focus, despite its age and in excess of 100,000 miles its still comfortable and reliable and suites me carrying my dogs around and commuting on an 18 mile round trip to and from work. The estate is large enough for two large dogs and with the seats folded down plenty of room my needs. Spare parts are readily available through breakers yards via the internet as new parts for an old car are not cost effective, a helpful friendly local garage is also a must.

This car is very reliable, never had any major problems. Fuel economy is good, even though I do lots of 'town' driving, stopping & starting, & short journeys. Feel lot safer driving this car than my previous car, a Fiesta. Happy to keep driving for years to come!

A good all round medium sized family car.

I am happy with my Focus however I probably would not have bought it if my previous car had not been stolen. I have also now switched back to petrol, the Fiesta was diesel. I do miss the acceleration of the Fiesta despite assurances from the salesman that I wouldn't notice much difference!!

This is the second Focus estate we have had - both have been good cars. Bought as 3 year old, ex-motability, low mileage. They have plenty of space, ideal for a family.

Had the car for a year now and very pleased indeed with the excellent drivability and positive road holding it has. The engine has good power and fuel economy It certainly feels a driver's car without any doubt. Build quality is good and the first car I've had without a rattle. Comfort is good and especially the front seats holding you in place with a smooth ride. Noise levels in the car are minimal. So are very pleased with this car.

Very well equipped with a heated front screen which is very effective in clearing frost. Tyre size designed for comfort. A/C very effective. The lumbar adjustment to driver's seat is a plus, pity it's not fitted to passenger seat. Engine feels a bit sluggish until revs are above 3000 rpm., probably geared for economy. Using revs above 3000 makes all the difference. A very quiet car inside so long distances are not tiring. Servicing cost is quite low at my main agent garage and insurance is competitively priced. 45mpg on motorway and 44 mpg on long run on mixed roads. At purchase I had the option of All Season tyres and a full sized or space saver spare. The full size spare reduces boot capacity so I chose a space saver and the boot suits me.

The reason I bought a Ford Focus was because it was always voted the best family car. And having owned one now for 4 years I have to agree. It's big, but not too big, I can fit the family of 4 and all suitcases when I go on holiday around Britain. Being diesel it's very economical and still performs well. I'm not really a car nut, I just want a car that gets me from A to B without breaking down, and the Focus has never let me down. The servicing and maintenance costs are no worse than any other car I've had. I will probably buy another Focus when this one gets too old and costly to keep going.

his car was purchased from Ford Direct at 6 months old.It is serviced regularly and is always kept in first class condition. It has never let us down and extra costs have included the usual tyres, exhaust etc.Having pass driving tests on HGV,cars and motorcycles l am aware of the importance of keeping a vehicle well maintained.

NEVER HAVE HAD MUCH TROUBLE WITH IT SINCE I BOUGHT IT IN 2003, ITS BEEN A GOOD CAR FOR ME, ALWAYS STARTS IN THE MORNING, AND A GOOD RUNNER, WANT TO GET A CAR NOW THAT I CAN JUST SLIDE INTO THE SAET WITHOUT GOING DOWN TO SIT AS I AM DISABLED AND FINDING IT HARD TO GET IN AND OUT OF NOW . ALWAYS HAD IT SERVICED EVER YEAR AND IT JUST WEAR AND TEAR THATS WRONG WITH IT IE; BRAKES NEW TYRES OIL CHANGE ETC.

This is the second Focus we have had, both from new. They are so reliable and sturdy. Have always felt safe in the Focus as they feel well built and not tinny inside. I also have a ford fiesta and even though this again is reliable and economical, the Focus beats it hands down. There is loads of space both for passengers in front and back and loads of boot space. Overall I cannot fault this car have had no problems with this or the previous Focus. We have driven it all over the country and motorway driving is a breeze in it. Had this car for 5 year and intend to renew within the next 2 years and I will be looking at a Focus in the future, the new shape especially looks fantastic.

Boot seems smaller than the previous body shape version. Metallic internal trim around air vents reflects in wing mirrors a distraction. Very impressed by the eco-technology in the car. It is a quiet and comfortable car and I am content with the performance of the 1000cc engine and its response in motorway driving. Am now used to the start stop technology and all the parking assistance. All controls are clear and like the repeater for the direction changes when using the satnav in the screen showing fuel performance miles run etc.

I changed my car from a Ford Fiesta to a Focus when I had my grandchildren for safety reasons as I knew that the Focus rated well for safety. The fuel consumption is as good as the smaller Fiesta if not better.
