Performance good. Reliability so far satisfactory. Economy not bad. Seats are not completely leather, which means that the centre panels grip you, which is very uncomfortable on long journeys. Also front seats are manually adjustable, not electric with memory, which is poor on such an expensive vehicle. Occasionally engine labours at slow speed. Paint finish is excellent. Controls/screens easily used. Sound system excellent.

This is my 4th Mondeo Estate - and is even better than my previous one. It is great to drive - particularly on motorways and has ample space in the back for my two Labradors to stretch out in comfort. My cars work hard for their living - this one has now done 100,000 miles and has not missed a beat in 4 years. My only concern on costs is that the wide, low profile tyres are quite expensive and don't last as long as those on my previous Mondeo estates (more normal profile).

Mondeo is a awesome car!I love it,plenty of storage space, lot of power, cheap to run, only bad point is that you can see the end of car and is a bit difficult to revers because you can't see how close you are to other car behind you.

Having just purchased the vehicle my review is limited. It is roomy, comfortable and appears to have resonable performance. Reliability is something I am hoping for.

Good handling and comfort, excellent for long journeys: drove to Gibraltar and back with no problems, Getting old now, especially compared to modern vehicles in safety and economy but only one breakdown in over 10 years: a fuel pump solenoid failed.

Only two faults with a Mondeo from ford: 1) the exhaust rots on the welds after only 3 years - it is an oil burner for pete's sake - that should not happen! 2) Ford economy figures are a joke - how do they get away with it? By extremely careful 70mph steady driving I can get 50MPG. Ford quote way above that figure!

My mondeo is excellent. The car can take so much stuff in it when packing for a holiday to the coast, and there is still enough room for my 2 young daughters to be comfortable. Even with so much stuff, and a long journey ahead, the engine pulls well and the fuel consumption remains good. I like the shape of it. Ford say that they wanted to create something that looked like it was moving even when it's stood still. I'm not sure they achieved that, but it still looks good.

This car was not my first choice not always being a Ford fan but at the time I was needing a larger car to accomodate an ever increasing family and dog. I have been exceptionally surprised with this car, it is comfortable, spacious and actually handles well, having come from Audi Quattros and Subaru's I was a bit weary about loosing the grip of 4wd but it can be thrown about quite well given it's size. Not been a disappointment and now struggling to think of a replacement as it just keeps going 139000 miles not using a drop of oil and water. I would consider another.

Purchased 2nd hand Titanium model Plus points Cheap to insure and service, handy dealer Good load capacity, Dab radio, good grip and handling Quite quiet on the run. Good side mirrors-adjustable up and down. Reasonable to good economy given size of vehicle Minus points Firm ride, uncomfortable drivers seat - I need a back bolster and cushion. Mk3 Mondeo much better, drive all day without discomfort. Air vents on dash top reflect in screen (don't they check these things) Steering lacks something. No parking sensors as standard. No roof rails as standard. Not so easy to find 2nd hand. Fussy interactive convers screen - I would not use it whilst driving. Voice controls wasted on me. I want to drive the car not talk to it. Marketing have got a grip here thinking what the customer wants instead of what they actually want. To sum up, quite a good car marred by things which if tweaked could have made it a great car.

First Diesel I've had for 10years + and the modern car too. Its like learning to drive all over again. However, I love the car. Its a great ride, quick and smooth. Economical too after driving old petrols. I'm glad I went for the 2.2TDCi 155bhp version instead of the smaller 2.0 130. All in all, great car. Wouldn't change it. Well, not just yet anyway.

I am not sure how designers manage to produce designs that end up on the assembly line. Take for example the Mondeo which seems to have been around for eons. parallel parking in one of these monsters is not for the faint hearted. Use of the door mounted mirrors is only slightly assisted by the fact that they are electrically operated. Was the decision to have electrically operated mirrors spurred on by the fact that they fail to provide the driver with an adequate view of pavement/kerb while still allowing the driver to see the car/vehicle/person behind? This restriction coupled with the car's extremely poor turning circle creates the conditions for at best an ordeal at worst a dangerous manoeuvre - parallel parking come on you designers you've had almost 100 years to get this right!

Great car. Very Reliable and cheap parts if needed. Comfortable. Bit thirsty on short runs but reflects on maintenance - a full service at a Ford Specialist is £150.00 Lots of toys and decent Sony Stereo as standard Huge boot.

When I was a lot younger I wouldn't have even considered buying a Ford.........to me they were cheap and nasty! However, recently I did purchase my first Ford ....a Mondeo........ and am now on my third in 8 years. To date with them, I've had extremely satisfying motoring as can be seen from the ratings above. Perhaps I should state that I have sacrificed running costs for performance.........although a pensioner I'm still a boy at heart!
