Good car

Only owned this car one month but fuel usage has improved from petrol (14p per mile, against 19p). This car provides an excellent blend of dynamic capability (brakes, handling etc) with comfort for a full complement of adults. Servioce costs reasonable, choice of service provider. This model type has been generally reliable with no breakdowns, but the previous model (1009 petrol Zetec) seemed to be weak in suspension component life (I drive circa 16,000 miles per annum). Useful driver info, good radio, and all controls of a good size, and logical to use.

The Mondeo I find to be very comfortable and smooth running

Over 50 mpg even around town and Somersets roads. Huge boot, I?ve actually had a double mattress in there. Really comfy for the bigger bodies in ALL the seats. Sensibly priced for the second hand market. Power when you need it. Kept outside all the time still very reliable.

Bought new in June 2005 and let me down just once in 2012 when the original battery gave up after 7 years and 60,000 miles. Handles very well, brakes very well, large rear which I've carried everything in. No rust anywhere. Biggest drawback is poor fuel consumption - never better than 27mpg. I have recently retired so the mpg is not of such importance these days. I do most of my own servicing - most jobs are easily DIY apart from not possessing fault finding equipment and changing spark plugs because of their location at the rear of the engine compartment behind the engine. Since new I've replaced rear hatch struts, split air pipe to fuel supply, front discs, catalytic converters, air con pump, battery, pads, filters etc

I have owned the car for 3 years and have found it very difficult to fault.I would choose the same model if I had to buy another one .

I drive on the motorways fortnightly and so wanted a car of comfort when upgrading from my little Hyundai. I opted for the Mondeo and I haven't been remotely disappointed. It glides over even the bigger pot holes - I don't know how Ford have managed to achieve this with the big wheels. Also good is the equipment. I have the Ghia x which is no more expensive than the other used models. It comes with sat nav, cruise control, climate control, auto lights, auto wipers and a socket for your music player. I have also been surprised with the economy. During the week I do a lot of town driving and it easily achieves an average of 45mpg. The reliability is also great. Given my mondeo is now nine years old, when it's MOT was due I was expecting a hefty bill. Surprisingly however nothing needed doing to it, not even a single advisory. The only downside is the moister it builds up and I've heard this is a common problem. In the winter months the air inside of the car becomes very moist. As a consequence the windows become easily misted up, even dripping with water. But this is a small price to pay for a car that achieves so much in all other areas.

I have looked after this car and in return it has lived up to the title "Old Relialbe". It is a bit of a tank of a car, not exactly what you'd call easy to park, but not that difficult either, with good power steering. I have approximately 110,000 miles on it now and hope it runs for a few more. It has been around the continent a few times and up and down the length and breadth of Britain too. It has accompanied the family on some memorable holidays and now helps us transport three grandchildren (all seated in the back in child seats) around. We have filled it to the brim with camping equipment and musical instruments, taken untold tonnes of rubbish to the tip, and given lifts to all and sundry.

The Mondeo holds the road well especially at speed and on bends/corners. It is a comfortable drive, the performance/acceleration are excellent, even at high speed, and diesel fuelling is particularly economic considering the engine size.

A delight to drive with adequate performanc and reasonable economy. It has useful luggage space for awkward loads. Heated windscreen excellent on frosty days. Fitted with great extras like sunroof, heated front seats, self-levelling suspension (useful when towing) and leather upholstery. Is on a par with the Volve estates I had over 25 years but even better road manners. Has proved to be trouble free and reasonably cheap to service over the 150,000 miles it has covered so far. I hope I can find as good a car to replace it with when it becomes necessary.

I have been driving Ford Mondeo for about 10 years and have been very pleased in deed with them and in fact on my retirement purchased a new Ford Mondeo which I have been very pleased with. It has been a very reliable car though if I had known how fuel prices would go up I might have opted for a slightly smaller car.

The most comfortable car i have driven in my thirty years of motoring

Bought at 1 year old after having looked at a BMW 3 series and is excellent value for money compared with the German alternatives. The 3 series feels cramped in comparison, has run-flat tyres and the rear seats don't fold down. The Mondeo comes with masses of fixtures and fittings as standard and drives extremely well on motorways, "A" roads and country roads. Of course, you're not going to like it if you're a badge snob. I swore over 20 years ago that I would never buy a Ford after having had two Orions as company cars, but this Mondeo made me change my mind after just a short time during a test drive.

Workmanlike vehicle, well able to cope with varying demands including transporting dog and doing university runs. Couple of annoying breakdowns due to 'water ingress' in the electrics not covered by warranty - you would expect a nearly new car to be waterproof!

The Mondeo is good to drive, but large to park in carpark spaces.
