Our Honda Civic car is very economical. The seats are very comfy and supportive for your back. There is plenty of room in the front and back and boot.

I've only had this car for 6 weeks, but I'm still pleased with it. There is plenty of power and roadholding is good, but it also rides very smoothly and feels very refined. Glad it has reversing sensors however - the view to the back is rather limited!

It's the i-vtec engine and is economical, reliable and has a good performance. No road tax to pay. Only minus is that unless you buy the top spec there is no keyless entry and no heated seats- otherwise very happy with the car

The Honda Civic that I drive is perfect, reliable and comfortable however I have been disappointed with the Honda garage that I have used since I purchased the car. It is only in the last few years that I feel that they have not been interested in me or my car as it was getting older and seem to be only interested in selling me a new one. My car although now over 10 years old is still as good as it was when I bought it, bodywork is in good condition and I can confirm that when this Honda no longer runs I will purchase another Honda, but will use local garage once the warranty has run out

All the build quality of a Honda on the exterior and the normal bomb proof engine. My 7th Honda but this one has a dodgy SAT nav which the garage will not replace - disappointing dealer service. There is also unusual wind rush around the interior. Are Honda skimping and letting the interior build quality slip?

General standards of all aspects of modern cars are improving at a great pace. I worked on all types of cars in the early sixties and have seen incredible changes; I certainly wouldn't be able to diagnose problems on these modern 'virtual mobile computers'. I had a Honda Civic 2.2 TD for nearly seven years and found it to be excellent in nearly every respect. When changing, I decided to go for Honda again, and was very pleased indeed to find that Honda had produced this new 1600 TD, Civic, which I now use. I have had the car since the middle of May of this year and am so far very impressed with emission and noise level, comfort, safety, performance and economy.

The civic hatchback is a practical comfortable car. I drive 40 miles a day to commute to work and then drive all day in my job. A lot of my mileage is around town which is why I drive an automatic The honda is very comfortable and I really like being able to drop down the rear seats to make more space to carry things.

My car has been reliable since I bought it new in 2005. I have it serviced every year at the dealership I bought it from. I like the look of the car. It's easy and comfortable to drive in London streets and also on motorways. The garage staff are friendly and professional in all aspects of servicing.

Quite expensive to run for the amount I use it. Reasonably comfortable for its size. A larger engine would be useful.

Very reliable, only 2 bulbs changed in 5 years, 2 minor warantee adjustments. MPG consistently 54-56. Very powerful engine when needed. Loads of luggage space, "magic seats" excellent. Well known dislikes - rear suspension crashy on poor road surfaces due to torsion bar suspension, seatback adjuster ratchet not screw. Champagne silver paint does not chip badly as darker colours.

If you want cheap, fast, dependable and comfortable motoring, get a Honda Civic 1.5. Not as ugly as the current model plus you can actually see out of the back window. Equally good for OAPs (smooth, reliable) and boy racers (brilliant cornering and a fair turn of speed). I'm an aged boy racer, so it ticks both boxes.

This car is not designed with a 5 foot 2 woman in mind. The petrol filler is very high so it is painful to fill as my arms have to be raised to an uncomfotable height. The angle of the seat cannot be made vertical enough for my comfort. Not even a person with their head nearly touching the roof is able to see the front of the bonnet. This makes it quite dangerous to drive because you can't see the kerbs and it is quite difficult to park straight. The steering wheel for a short person obscures the mph indicator or it has to be so low that it is impossible to get your legs under the wheel to get in and out. There is no useful rubber on the brake and accelorater pedals so that my foot tends to slip off especially when wearing leather soled shoes. On minor points the petrol cap release is in an awkward place. The clock does not change automatically when the hour changes. The important controls eg heating which need to be changed while driving are quite small and not easily changed. The trip meter in not accessible when driving. The seat belt height adjuster does not go low enough to keep it from scraping my neck despite having bought a clip to help. I did do a test drive but only the uncomfortable angle of the head rest was obvious and I thought wrongly that I would be able to adjust it to fit my shape. I will not be keeping the car for any length of time.

The model I have has all the extras I could possibly ask for, from sat nav to hands free phone - from Bluetooth audio to parking sensors - from 6 gears to a wonderful dashboard display - from Eco driving to engine auto stop etc, etc, etc. I also like the shape / design of the car. If I could change anything it would probably be the engine size - I chose a 1.4 litre because I wanted to insure my 18 year old daughter as a learner at an affordable rate (having previously had a 1.8 Freelander in which my insurance company would not insure anyone under 21). It's early days yet, but for me there just isn't enough oomph in the 1.4 litre - I thought it would be really 'nippy' compared to my old tank (the Freelander) but I'm a little underwhelmed on that score. However, I should like to point out that I can now perform u-turns in a tighter space (yippee) and, more impressively, I can get all the way to Falmouth in Cornwall from Colchester on 3/4 of a tank of petrol (had to stop to refill with the Freelander). The fuel economy alone is OVERWHELMING!!!!

My car which I have owned for over six years has never let me down, has started every day and has done 141,000 miles and still drives as if it came out of the showroom yesterday! Absolutely faultless and I have considered on numerous occasions to get a new car and then decided I would be a fool to sell it, so I spend the money instead on a fantastic holiday! If everyone did their homework on cars and buy their cars on quality and reliability then only Honda would be manufacturing cars!

I'm a mature mechanic and have driven or owned most makes and this 1600cc civic diesel is probably the best of all.

Worst car I have ever owned. Gearbox terrible. Suspension terrible. Should never have been sold as it was. The company knew this and have changed both in the new model.

What can I say if you want a good reliable car you can't go wrong with the civic. It's fun to drive and fairly economical but is let down by the ride quality. It you need a flexible hatch back for transport a number of large items this fits the bill. The seats fold away very easily give you a large flat base. I had this car from new and I have not had to change even a light bulb. It starts how ever cold the weather and holds the road well in most conditions.

0 to 60 8.4 seconds, 150bhp, 60+ mpg. Not as radical as earlier models a bit more conservative but nevertheless still different from the pack. Well screwed together and very reliable.

I've had my Honda Civic for about 5 years now, bought it with almost 100k miles on the clock and it's over 11 years old (done another 50k miles). The only fault it's ever had was the drive shaft snapping, which happened this year. I'm not maintenance crazy and only do the ninimum necessary, yet this car seems to be virtually indestructible. I will always stick to Honda and would definitely recommend it as a make.

I like our Honda for its reliability, comfort, and ability to keep up a fast speed over a long time. I dislike the lousy turning circle, and the very hard ride
