Old and reliable, she's been side swiped and dinged by other discourteous drivers. Get one if you want something that will give years of good driving if looked after with bare necessities. Don't get one if you hate being tailgated by white vans and 4x4's.

I have had my car from new. It is now 10 years old but I love it. I get it serviced once a year and it has served me well. I do not do much mileage, under 3000 miles p.y. The car is under 30000 miles to date. I find the Nissan is a cheap car to service, and understand the engine is easily accessible for mechanics, so reducing servicing costs. The Nissan Micra is a lovely agile car, very nippy and easily maneouverable.

Best car I have ever had, never broken down and has needed hardly any repairs in the 10 years I have had it. Boot too small.

I have never had a more reliable car than my Nissan Micra. A yearly service is all it needs to keep me moving, and handles well in all conditions. If I needed to get another car, the Nissan Micra would be my first choice.

Yes my car is small and not the most expensive one on the market by I am happy and confident when behind the wheel in it. I could afford to buy a bigger and more expensive car but why should I when I am happy with the one I have. It is not a status symbol, just a way to get from a to b safely and in comfort.

I got a micra as I had one before (the earliest model) and it was very reliable despite being nearly 20 years old. The 2003 model is much less reliable, little things are consistently going wrong with it and it's not nice to drive. The keyless start is an annoying fad especially when the key batteries die and it's not possible to start the car. However, it is fuel-efficient, and the 1.2 litre engine feels much more powerful than my previous 1litre car, with no obvious increase in running costs.

Not a looker, but reliable and reasonable on running costs. Over 124,000 miles on the clock and going strong.

Good car and pretty reliable. Problem is that if anything needs doing it costs a lot because Japanese

I love my little Micra. It has never broken down in the nine years I have had it. It has what's known as an intelligent key, meaning you only need to have to key fob in your pocket to unlock the car and operate the starter switch. The driver's seat height and steering wheel position are adjustable. The 1500cc diesel engine supplies adequate power and it buzzes along easily, with great acceleration when required. £30 road tax and superb mileage rates. The rear seats fold down easily, but not flat which is the only bugbear in my mind. The rear seats can also be slid forward to give more boot space - great, plus lots of leg room at the back, even with seats moved forward. Alas Nissan no longer produce this model, so when I replace it it's going have to be something else - unfortunately

It would be hard to fault this car. It is economical around town and on long journeys, and fun to drive. It's easy to park and comfortable. It is a no nonsense car, repairs are reasonable, and it has always passed it's MOT first time. No-one looking for glamour would buy one, probably, but my next car will be a Nissan, and most likely a Micra.

Considering the age of my car I'm fairly happy with it although if money was no problem I would have already replaced it.

I have had this car for around a year and previously had an old-style Micra. Both were extremely reliable, economical and very comfortable. The car was also really good in the heavy snow last winter and it's really nice to drive.

My Micra has caused me few problems over the nine years that I have had it. It is fun to drive and performs well on long and short journeys. It is very good in snow and ice.

A very convenient runabout but suitable for occasional longer journeys. Fairly quiet for a small car; surprisingly lively, particularly when driver only; reasonable access to service station; excellent lights for night driving. No major problems but a few niggles - most recently, windscreen wipers developing a mind of their own. Emergency spare wheel only - used once, surprising amount of wear. Would consider another Micra but it has become a very different car so would need careful study.

This is my third Micra and am very pleased with it = always bought from new and have regular services on it. If I get another car it will certainly be a micra.

After 12+ years my car is still reliable. I have left it standing for 2 months whilst being away from home, and even though there has been ice and snow, it has always started first time. It has passed its MOT each year until this last test; there was rust underneath the body of the car. The only other repairs in the 12 years has been to replace part of the exhaust. The remaining expense has been for things such as tyres and windscreen wipers which I would have had to replace on any other car I might have had. This car does not owe me a penny.

Excellent for travelling around city/village streets, which I do often. Running costs good - except road tax which is quite high. Very reliable - once a year service is usually enough, only occasionally had an issue with a Micra - hence it is my 4th Micra.

A great little car. Still reliable. Hardly any expense to keep on the road. Only occassional flooding mars what would be 100% satisfaction.
