SEAT Mii reviews

Bought this to give driving lessons and have found it to be ideal. Averaging over 50mpg even with lessons. Pupils really like it finding it very easy to drive. Visibility is excellent and it has all that you need to teach someone how to drive. It is very quiet considering its class with very little cabin noise. Gear change is slick and easy and the excellent torque allows pupils to get away with pulling away in 2nd gear. Admit that it does struggle in 5th up long hills requiring good use of gear changing but apart from that I can't fault it.

Cosy comfortable little car meets all the needs of this retired reluctant driver. Having had it for 8 months now, it has never let me down though it took a while to get used to all the details of how the technical bits like changing the time worked. They ought to let some one as unversed as me in technology to write the handbook.

If you are looking for a good priced, economical little car, you should give consideration to the Seat Mii. The Skoda Citigo and VW Up and continually mentioned in reviews but everyone seems to forget the Mii is from the same stable. Maybe it doesn't have the same brand awareness but certainly comes with plenty of add on's and after doing my sums was definitely the best deal pound for pound. I purchased the Sport model which is cheap to insurance,£20 road tax and have on a daily basis exceeded 60mpg. Best to date was 67mph on a country run. Not bad for a puddle jumper! It certainly ain't a race car but with the sport suspension drives like a go-kart and have to admit is fun to drive. It also came with the on board multi control sat nav and blue tooth. The standard kit on this car was optional extras on the VW.

For a city car the first thing that you notice is the amazing amount of room in the front. As a tall driver I was amazed to find that I did not have to put the seat all the way back and the driving position is very comfortable. The next thing you notice is that it is a very easy car to drive. All the controls are light and precise - great smooth clutch and gearbox. Once on the move, it does not feel like a small car. The ride quality is very good giving a good balance between comfort and handling. The little three cylinder engine pulls reasonably well around town, cruises easily at motorway speeds and only shows its slight lack of power on hills. The build quality appears to be excellent with no rattles or squeaks. All in all, I think it is a brilliant little car.

I went from a people carrier to a city car. I just love it! Because it only has a small engine I drive in a much more sedate way. I cannot believe how many MPG I get. On my daily commute, on country A roads I get well over 60 mpg. My Navigon device monitors my MPG and I can adjust my driving accordingly. I carry a lot of equipment for work and the boot is a great size, bigger than my friend's Mini's boot. When I am driving I don't feel that my car is small, it's a good size inside. My only gripe is that the charging connection from the Navigon to the car is not reliable and I often have to refit it to allow it to charge. This car is ideal for the commuter or running around.
