I have been really happy with my Skoda - I bought it when I needed to cross the south downs to go to work each day and although the engine size is small (therefore does not use so much petrol) it has no problem at all with the hills even when I am forced to stop half way up because of tractors. It has now done nearly 100,000 miles and is still going strong.

I bought the fabia after research on automatice hatchbacks. The Honda Jazz was voted the best but was too expensive. I am please with my choice. Although it does not cvompare to my former BMW the running costs are better and it is good for the relatively short journeys I do. It feels solid and visibility is excellent. The ride is a little hard but ok for shorter hourneys.

One of our household will only drive an automatic, and trying to find a good small auto can be tricky. This one has been fantastic. We've been really impressed with the smooth running of the 6 speed auto box (most other contenders were 4 speed). And the fact that it's a 'tiptronic' box means that the other member of the household who sometimes prefers manual selection of gears in some driving conditions is also kept happy.

This is the third Skoda we have had and they get better and better and great value for money. Extremely reliable and the only criticism could be the Fabia Estate is a 'hard ride'.

Excellent motor, comfortable and fairly spacious for its size. Good engine with power when needed. The techie add-ons make driving very convenient - and all at a surprisingly low price.

I have been driving for 43 years, and have owned and driven scores of different cars. This is probably the best of the lot. It's a great all rounder- comfortable, easy to drive, economical- a real pleasure.

In the last 3 years never ending electrical problems.. A..Loss of Power Steering. B..Cables (Loom) Rotting. C..Battery Discharging..and still trying to find the cause. And the car has only done to date 56,000 miles from new..

I have had my Skoda Fabia 1.4 TDi for 6 years now and have had no problems with it at all. It perfoms well, has good road holding in all kinds of weather and has never let me down.

These are a good economical car. A little noisy but if you want something to get you from A to B with reasonable space and comfort this is a must. They are very nippy about town and do what is required on motorway driving.

My Skoda Fabia Comfort has only done 43,000 in 13 years and is still reliable despite having spent most of it's life in the open air. Electrics are now becoming suspect, including window winding due in no small part to having weathered under a Silver Birch for many winters. Moss is causing problems in the rubber grooves. The power steering is also suspect with warning lights coming on after some miles but no deterioration in steering told it could be a faulty Lambada, however the 'lambada' was replaced before I purchased said car[ whatever a Lambada is]. I am retired and the car is only used for a weekly shop and just sits outside deteriorating. If treated better then I thing the Fabia would have remained in very good condition much longer. For a small car it is relatively comfortable but, not quite as flexible as my old Citeron had been.

I purchased this car in July 2013 second hand from a local dealer. I really wanted a real new VW but couldn't afford one. So I bought this pretend VW (Skoda) which is a great substitute. I am very pleased with its Performance, handling,Style, comfort & extras. A lot of car for less. I was a professional driver in both a commercial & social capacity. Driving both heavy goods vehicles, vans & cars & have many years experience & knowledge of a great many vehicles.

Car does what it says on the tin. Bodywork is thin and easily dents. Although metallic paint it is not that strong but chips tend not to rust. Mileage is good with ecoline but no spare wheel so bought one. Ecotyres did not last well for me in that walls thin and punctured easily. Reasonable load carrier in estate form and has flitted daughter around on several occasions. Acceleration is sluggish but it pulls away. Really annoying messages when nearing service intervals. Seats are surprisingly comfortable and inside is pretty adaptable for load carrying

The car is so economical, urban driving returns 50mpg. Motorway returns 58mpg. Combined returns 62+mpg. the car is very comfortable, and solid built. I have had the car from new and is 7 Years old now (59K miles)other then yearly servicing and a set of tyres, everything is still original. The car doesn't owe me anything. The only downfall is the next to useless dealers, Miles apart from each other (my nearest 17 mile away), they charge extortionate rates, and muck up everything they touch. Also the warranty is not worth the paper it is written on, the dealers don't want to know or help. Even the head office don't exist, try writing and the address comes back as unknown, and no dealer will give you the head office proper address to write too, only to say they will sought the problem out (they don't).

I have recently returned to Skoda and am loving it. Best decision I've made in ages. Having owned both a Fabia & an Octavia, in 2010 I had to replace the Octavia and went for something completely different. Despite it being a comfortable ride the Vectra has cost me an arm & a leg to run & keep on the road. So I took the decision to return to a Fabia which is not only much more efficient (regularly around 65-70 miles per gallon) and only £30 Road Tax per year but it also gives me a great seating position and comfort even on longer journeys. The front doors open really wide so I don't have any problem in getting in or out of the car even when the arthritis in my knee is at its worst. The extra height of the new-shape Fabia also makes driving the car more comfortable. Fab Fabia! I'm so pleased to be back in the fold.

I bought this car new and many 'extras' were included. It has proved to be very reliable and comfortable. It is serviced by a main dealer, which is possibly more expensive, but well maintained. I still prefer it to later Fabia models.

I have owned my Skoda Fabia from new having owned one previously. What I like the reliability and low running costs ( 60 mpg is usual ) combined with VW's famous build quality. Not to forget that the body is galvanised, so no rust problems. Being a hatchback with lots of room it's also handy for collecting quite large items including recently a gate-leg table. It's very comfortable on long journeys and I'm never tired, it's also easy to park. The downside if I can call it that is with such a small engine it can struggle a bit on big hills but as I never drive faster than 60 mph. and my normal speed is around 50mph, it's not a problem for me. I have never taken any gear over 3000 rpm. even on big hills and you guessed it, I do drive easy and have looked after this car. Would I buy a 3rd Skoda, well the answer is most definitely YES because it's good value for money and has never let me down.

No real problems. Dealer serviced. some odd replacements needed for mileage. silly road tax. Co2 levels should be based on MOT measurements.

The car I own has been thoroughly reliable. I am 6ft 4in tall and the driving position and seat is first class: much beter than other and bigger cars I have tried. It has never let me down and although I have only done 40,000 miles I have spent nothing on repairs. Will buy one again.

My skoda is a good all round car for someone who does a low mileage and few long distance journeys. I would prefer one that was more comfortable and with a higher capacity if I did a lot of travelling. the servicing a dealer support is also of a high standard
