I have had many cars in my time, and this one, I have had for 12years. Apart from the usual upkeep, tyres, exhaust, etc. Its still going strong and has never let me down.

Great little car. More than enoigh room for us ( 2 adults & dog) and luggage. Easy to park in small spaces (won't buy a new one because it's bigger & fatter!)

This model is very economical and environmentally friendly. It has lot of "extras" such as automatic wipers, automatic lights and built in sat nav.It does however do strange things if you are not technically aware-lights flash, bleepers sound, doors won't lock, engine won't start, satnav will not respond. It needs more than the five minutes demo given when you collect the car to make sure that drivers are fully aware of all the extra workings.I have had the car two months and still finding things out.

An easy car to keep, very economical, not great on long journeys

My only complaint about the Yaris is about the indicators. They do not always self correct particularly when turning left and the noise made by the indicators is not loud enough to make it obvious when they have not self corrected. I understand from the dealers this is quite a common complaint about Japanese cars and is connected with the positioning of the indicator sensors. It would help, if that cannot be corrected, that the indicator volume be increased. Otherwise very satisfied with the car.

I bought this car a year ago, second hand. Despite its age, it only had 27,000 miles on the clock and now has done just over 35,000 miles. It does not have much power but is well designed, holds the road well and is light and affordable to run. The car is useful in town but also relatively comfortable on the long road. The downside, apart from lack of power is that it does not have much packing space, so it's not an ideal family or holiday car, but it serves us well and it is a reliable little car. I can get up to 55 mpg on the open road and more than 40 mpg in town. If I had to upgrade it would probably be to a crossover (for the additional room and safety)but any new car would have to match or beat the Yaris on fuel economy.

This car has been extremely reliable. The visibility is not the greatest (I am quite short) and I find it more difficult to park than some of the much larger cars I have had. I do like the sliding back seat to vary the amount of leg or boot space in the rear of the car.

Fantastic value for money. Only £30 tax per year, very economical and is highly reliable. I have a very basic model so no electrical mod-cons (not even electric windows)...but that also means less opportunity for things to malfunction! It has never broken down on me. Only down side is cost of parts needed for wear and tear maintenance - these tend to be quite costly, but I know they will last and be reliable so it's worth it. One more point to consider is its size - perfect for me only being 5'5 tall....my husband who is 6 foot tall finds it uncomfortable as a passenger and to drive for long journeys because it is small. Back seats completely flatten down creating a deceptively large boot space when needed. I love my Yaris and will definitely be trading it in for another when the time comes!

Originally bought because of safety ratings as son was learning to drive , as well as it being used in my work as a Health Visitor. Drove well during last winter in snow and ice, no problems starting in the cold. It has been economical with fuel especially on long journeys down to the West Country on motorways. Will be seriously considering buying another one in the future

Very pleased with Yaris that I purchased at the start of September. This is the third Yaris I have owned and the cost, size and performance of the car suit my needs perfectly.

WE use it for short runs and get 52.8 M.P. G.

Superbly practical, reliable and economical with a solid feel, excellent brakes, the best front seats I've ever had in 37 years of car ownership and good on motorways as well as in town, on lanes and in car parks. Just let down by a terrible heater, slightly bumpy ride and the steering has no natural feel.

great little car

This is my third one - it is the best for driver headroom therefore very good for me as I am tall. There are good service deals available and it is low cost maintenance. Also I do not drive long distance anymore and a small car is good around town, particularly for parking.

A nice car, a little heavy on the fuel consumption, and a bit lacking in power, but good enough.
