I was given a 2023 Corsa GS as a rental car for the last 2 weeks , It is a 1.2 litre turbocharged model with around 125bhp , I have enjoyed my time using it , It is very fast through corners i was amazed that it can easily take a corner at 60MPH With no problems , 0-60 is around 8 seconds so not bad for a 1.2 engine it gets to 60 quick enough but does seem to struggle a bit on the motorway due to the long gear ratios , literally 60mph in 2nd gear , the only negatives i have found is that the car is not very comfortable , I own a 2011 Hyundai i10 which while not being very fast is a lot more comfortable than the new Corsa which i find has overly harsh ride quality and crashes over bumps but i guess it is aimed at youngsters so makes sense , it is a very spacious car and feels very safe , the brakes are excellent and in car entertainment is good too with a built in sat Nav and touch screen display centre console with Bluetooth connectivity ,The Corsa GS is excellent value for money at £15 grand new but i have serious concerns over the engine reliability as in the 2 weeks ive owned it the car with only 1100 miles on the clock has had issues , 1 issue happened after 2 days , I noticed a load of Blue fluid under the vehicle , it turns out a pipe for the power steering was not fitted correctly in its place so RAC came out and resolved this nothing major but then a few days later i noticed bubbles in the cooling tank so i fear possible head gasket issue , not good for a car thats a few months old.

Ran a 2003 Astra for 7 years no problems at all but decided to get a newer car 5 years ago. The new style Astra was not suitable as I am only 5ft 1 and design not suitable. Went for the corsa, within 2 months coil pack went I’ve had it replaced twice since. About to go into Vauxhall as boot won’t open and intermittent wipers stopped working, runs well passed 4 Mot’s with no advisory but frustrating with other problems. Won’t be buying another Corsa that’s for sure

I have owned this Corsa XLR since Dec 2015. I change the oil and oil filter but my local garage carries all the oher maintenance. After about three years I finally solved the problem with performance and fitted a new coil pack and the car can now pull up hills with very much more power. Last year the garage fitted a new water pump, a new plastic expansion tank for the radiator and a hose which failed. MPG ranges from about 55 on a long journey to about 37 on a local run about. I plan to ensure that as this car is now 12 years that all the temperature sensors are working properly especially when it is cold . Meanwhie after owning the car for nearly 7 years I have just discovered it has air conditioning! . I expect that I will own this car for another two years. Finally rear pasengers have considerable foot space while the front doors open specially wide which is useful for those with disability problems

This was my first car which I bought brand new with 35 miles on the clock, I never had one problem with this during the first 3 years doing around 7000 miles a year with standard services yearly. As soon as the third year past the problems started and never stopped! Misfiring whilst idle, loss of power, limp mode, constant engine management lights, traction light. I was pumping more money into repairs than the car was worth at that point. Good for a short term vehicle or first car, but wouldn’t buy again.

Replaced my 1.4 Energy with the new 1.2 Turbo SRi in June 21. My car has more specs than advertised eg front and rear parking sensors and cameras. I just cannot fault the car and find it superb in all aspects, small irritant is air con comes on when starting but minor complaint. The car drives beautifully, looks great and is just a total pleasure

The corsa has sadly proved a disappointment in terms of driving. It is costly in fuel yet lucky to get it over 40mph most days. The seats are not easily adjustable which does not help when its only 2 doors. Not a good buy at all.

Where do I start? I bought a corsa eco flex 1.0 with 32k miles with full service history and owned it for around two month and was fine then the problems came in, lost power steering while travelling 30mph up towards a roundabout as a new driver, dead battery, car has just started idling below 500 RPM when before it was around 1000 RPM and is making a weird noise, have to push start it most days through winter, screws for engine bracket came loose causing grinding, stereo sounds like an iPhone speaker, interior is basic, sidelights you can’t even turn off. Not saying all corsa’s are bad but mine has been a nightmare and what started out a nice car turned into a mess and I have a black box on car before people think I’m some boy racer ragging a 1.0 around block, everyone I know who’s got or had a corsa has had nothing but issues with it and only good side to one is low tax and insurance as well as MPG. Would I buy another? Definitely not.

Had this car for 1 year 10k miles. Puzzling as to why the Corsa D is so popular as it seems very average to me. The worst aspect is that the front seats are incredibly uncomfortable for a relatively modern car. Also it's anything but nippy - probably because it's actually a lot heavier than it looks. Flags on hills but fine on motorways at steady 70 mph. The way the indicator switch works takes some getting used to - I still find it infuriating. On the positive side, very easy to service. Parts fairly cheap. Reliability good so far. Had to buy a second hand space saver wheel as it came with a tyre repair kit only. Original coil pack worn out after 30k miles but easy to replace. Noise like a worn front wheel bearing when cornering but definitely not bearings - has got better over time and I've got used to it. Mud trap at bottom of front wings but easy to clean out. Front subframe starting to rust well ahead of the rest of the car so need to keep an eye on it. This is a surprising weakness as the build quality is good overall. Fallback manual lock in driver's door didn't work but easy to replace with a scrap item, however the key is different but I can live with that. Engine has timing chain and VVT so I suggest frequent oil changes with proper oil (dexos 2) for longevity. Automatic wiper sensor and automatic lights are nice touches. 45 - 48 mpg easy to achieve, but not if you thrash it!

2004 Vauxhall Corsa Sri 1.4 twinport Picked up my Corsa Sri recently for £500 September 2020 I really like the look of the Sri with the 16 inch alloy wheels and small but sporty side mirrors I'm also very impressed with how the car drives its pretty fast with 90bhp on tap with the twinport and 1364cc engine in a car that ways just a ton. All the gears are nice and tight the steering is light and direct the brakes are sharp and I like the engine note when you give it some my car has only covered 45000 and nether been abused only 2 previous owners and came with an mot

Great car to drive! Would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable little car that will get you around and put a smile on your face whilst doing it. It does lack power on the motorways but makes up for it on country roads and whilst town/city driving. Comes with a touch screen media player (Apple/Android play), you can easily link your phone and use navigation whilst also enjoying your favourite playlists via the iPod or Spotify. Lastly the fuel economy is great, I can average around 60mpg whilst city driving and around 52mpg whilst cruising (cruise control) on the motorways. Would recommend to anyone.

PROS: Fun car to drive about in, fast, comfy recaro seats, looks good CONS: appalling build quality, incredibly unreliable, not long lasting, any more than 50K on the clock stay a mile away as they begin to disintegrate.  I have fitted a complete new gearbox, clutch and flywheel (£2500) head gasket is leaking, rocker cover is leaking, boost problems, air mass meter, engine mounts gone/knocking, had both rear shocks replaced, both front top mounts, coil pack went, handbrake ceased up and wouldn’t apply, probably more that I can’t remember or haven’t got round to yet, only had it 18 months!!

I had a Vaxuhall Corsa C '06' 1.2 Twinport and for a 12 year old car when I got it, it was great! Low mileage which at first was a good thing, but keep reading! For a small car typical for first time drivers these days, it sure was nippy! For a small car it was surprisingly roomy, boot was a little too small to fit a pushchair with wheels intact but this was only on occasion when friends were visiting so we'd pop one of the seats down if needs be. The car did have a few faults towards the end of last year for one that was 12 years old it's to be expected, water pump, oil pressure switch, starter motor, alternator. But looking back service history wasn't great as my local garage said those servicing check over everything, keep it clean and working well. It's like not servicing your boiler, it will break down quicker! Recently purchased a Corsa D 13 plate, much nicer upgrade!

purchased the car from new first body panel fit problem then niggles but it was fully serviced and I complained of intermittent miss fire at 22,420 miles coil pack replaced but a mere 870 further miles broke down in France on a Sunday evening and had to be transported to nearest town with garage problem was diagnosed as air flow sensor.Since replacement has run ok.This incident happened on the 24 June 2018 car was under warranty until 3 rd July 2018,Vauxhall Customer Care will not pay for repairs as it was not an Opel dealer [did not have knowledge of one in area] I have explained mitigating circumstances but both dealer and V.C.C.have a blaise attitude as if you should know the Opel network perhaps I was unrealistic expecting the car to be reliable so after only 24,000 odd miles and having full service history by Vauxhall garage I have no faith in the car.Sad as I have had 5 Vauxhalls, Belmont and Astras but something is amiss with the company .I accept it is a cheap car,but come on it should operate as intended .This episode has worn me down which seems to be V.C.C. modus operadi J.Ford

Owned the car for 3 and a half years been very reliable and is an ideal car for short journeys the seats are not the best and I would not like to sit in them for a very long journey,it averages about 37 miles per gallon and is quite a nice car to drive,I am looking at buying a 1.4 model as the 1.2 is not the best on motorways for attempting overtaken.

The car we went to see was a pile of junk we only went to see this car because of the AA involvement you need to look at who you sponsor

Yes, I have driven 'her' for 15 years and so far she has never let me down after a failure on the automatic selection gear about 11 years ago. Although 'she' was two month's out of the guarantee period. Vauxhall they put it right without any charge. Since then 'she' has been A*. When 'she' has to be changed I would certainly choose another Corsa as 'she' has been 99.9% reliable - what more could I ask for than that?
