Rather sluggish from standstill and going up steep hills. Fairly comfortable drive for the price and size Steering good easy to park Don't drive more than 8000 miles in year so a suitable car

Costs more to insure/breakdown cover etc due to age. Seats have worn over time etc and looks a little tired. Overall, good car but getting on.

I bought my Corsa in August 1998 from new. I have been very pleased with it, so much so that I am loath to change it.

This is probably the best car I have owned in terms of value for money. It is not a performance or luxury vehicle compared to some, but fulfills my needs for a comfortable and reliable car that combines low running costs with a rewarding ownership experience. The build quality seems to be above average, and the numbers I see on the road confirms other people like the design and style of the car too.

Ideal little car to and from local work. Have found with mine and like other Corsa owners that there is a big problem with rain water leaking into the footwell. Wouldn't choose a Corsa again...have previously owned 3.

I purchased my '08 Corsa from a main agent in February 2011. Since that time I have loved driving "her" as she is comfortable and extremely reliable. She is a 3 door 1.4 sxi. My previous car was a Vauxhall Vectra 1.8sxi on an '02' plate, but unfortunately this was written-off (buy a driver not looking where she was going, but looking at her phone !!). We traded in my husband's '03' 1.0 Corsa as he had done 75k miles since buying it new. By comparison, I find my Corsa to be of a better/stronger build and more comfortable. But I suppose that's what happens when you purchase a car 5 years newer. The 1.4 engine also means I do not have to wait a fortnight to pull away at the roundabout. The dealership (Tony LeVoi at Lakeside) are, in my opinion excellent. This is the fourth car we have purchased from them and now have signed up to their 'Servicing Scheme' whereby we pay a monthly fee towards our annual servicing costs - very useful when a 'big' service is due.

Compared to previous Corsa this car appears to have poor fuel consumption and little power when driving uphill. Disappointed with performance. Windscreen wiper and indicator controls are fiddly and not easy to understand. Much simpler older model.

The car suits the way I use my car which is mainly city centre driving and occasional motorway/duel carriageway driving.

My Corsa is an excelelnt little run around as well a sbeing very comfortable on long journeys. My second Corsa at times feels slightly underpowered as only a 1.2 petrol engine. However, with low mileage and tiem on my side I can't complain.

The reason I chose the Vauxhall Corsa was because of its very low road tax and insurance group. It appears to be the most sensible choice among its much smaller sized rivals in insurance group 2. The annual running cost of the Corsa was lower than the train fair in London. It was my first car so at first it seemed very luxurious, however, now looking back I must admit that the Corsa is a very basic and cheaply built car. The parts wore fast and it required rather frequent visits to the garage. Even passing the MOT was an issue due to some problems with CO2 emission. On motorways at 70+ mph it was making a lot of noise and shaking slightly, like a plane before take off! My Corsa had a 1.0L engine so I could not have much fun driving, but I must admit it was very fluent on turnings and it could be quite a good racing car with a bigger engine in it. Although the Corsa is not a very reliable car, it is extremely cheap to run and it is a great choice in comparison to public transport in London (which is even less reliable). Even taking into consideration the fact that you may need to pay a mechanic for some repairs, it is definitely excellent value-for-money.
