My car is very economical, a good runner and comfortable even on long journeys. Large boot space, more when the detatchable shelf off. used mostly for local trips.

good on fuel--fairly nippy--too many fiddly faults with the warning light coming on for very minor problems and the cost of the diagnostic test ie once just to tell me that the glow plugs needed changing--I would stay clear if thinking of buying one

I do not find the bucket seats very comfortable, as I think they are designed for men rather than women (who generally have wider hips). It has been a very reliable car to date and I would possibly have the same again if I was considering changing it.

The Vauxhall Corsa 1.0 S was a very cheap car in 2011 . At £5991 (generous trade in) I was impressed how cheap it was to purchase and enable me to have my first brand new car. Price was the deciding faster followed by running costs ( £30 road tax). My old RAV4 would not pass an MOT after having a small bump to the right wing and headlight, it achieved £2000 scrapage allowance. 20 mile each way commute was a breeze with a mixture of roads. I was getting high 40s in MPG an performance was adequate

Perfect for everyday use and running costs very reasonable. The ONLY negative is the lack of power on hills when fully laden.

Old car which never lets me down, even in winter

A nice nippy little car, which has been reliable, and does not cost alot to keep serviced. I would go for an update of this model again, when I next change cars.

The Vauxhall Corsa is the ideal car if you want a car to use as your everyday vehicle. It is comfortable to drive and, while not being particularly powerful it gets you where you want to go.

Generally an all round car for short or long journeys. I find it comfortable and it feels like a bigger car when driving it. It is reasonably ecomical to drive, my insurance is pretty low and the road tax £105. It goes well along the flat and my only gripe is that going uphill it displays a serious lack of power. I haven't noticed this in previous Corsas and think it may be because it is a much heavier seeming car.

It's great to have a 3 door car that you can fit 3 people in the back without too much of a squash. Passengers often comment on its back seat space. Boot size is decent too compared to many newer small cars. It hasn't always passed its MOT first time, even when only 5 years old. Different things have needed fixing which I can't remember the name of now. A few hundred pounds worth, a few times, to get it to pass anyway. It's 10 years old now and still has good acceleration, drives on the motorway at max speed (ehem), gets up steep hills really well, corners well, I can drive nippily! It does the job I want it to do which is the odd long distance, commuting and other short trips and getting up steep hils. Everything really!

I've had my Corsa for 15 mnths approx. and find that it meets most of my motoring needs. The only issues I have are personal in that it has 3 doors not my preferred 5 doors and the pick-up from low speed is not as quick as I would have liked. I wont be changing my car in the near future as I am extremely happy with it. Having access to a second car, my wife's, I'm more than happy with my choice of vehicle and would by another without a second's delay.

I have mostly driven Vauxhalls as I have found them reliable this one is no exception. However I do worry about major part replacements down the line as I wonder if I do sufficient milage. I try to do as few little runs as possible. I find it comfortable nippy and above all reliable.

We've had our Corsa for nearly 6 years now and have been delighted with it. For the last 4 years we've been running our own business where my husband travels a lot in the local area to customers' houses. We've found our car both very economical and practical for this purpose. For a 1 litre car it's very nippy and it's not a big fuel guzzler. Apart from parts replaced due to general wear and tear we have only had to have one repair carried out. Parts are economical as well - we love the fact that we bought British! I wouldn't advise the car if you were going to make a lot of long journeys. It's not uncomfortable but you would probably want a bit more comfort if you were going to spend a lot of time on the road. When the time comes for us to replace this car we will be looking for another Corsa.

The Corsa has been a very good buy for me. I do a lot of running around for Grandchildren when Parents are busy, which often involves town driving. The back seats can be put down so 'the dump' can be visited with rubbish too big for the bin. It copes very well with forest tracks and nature reserve drives and is easy to clean thereafter! We have holidays in Scotland and/or Wales each year and the motorway driving is fine with 2 adults and rather a lot of luggage to accommodate walking boots, poles, rucksacks etc as well as the usual suitcases. Three point turns on naroow tracks are a doddle and I don't miss the big engined car as the Corsa's gears are easy to change to compensate. Yes, I do miss a longer wheelbase and the added comfort of the big Volvos I used to drive, but I'm more than happy with the greater economy and ease of parking of my smaller car.

This is the smallest car I have ever driven and the first manual shift for many years. I am very pleased with the quality of the finish exterior and interior. I like the economy. It has taken some time to get used to the "bounciness" os such a small car.

Suitable car for my age and miles driven each year

Its getting a little old now and petrol consumption pans out to about 30-35mph which is not ideal in this current petrol "climate" Would not purchase a new Corsa because it has become so much bigger and I am actually going smaller and thinking about petrol and road tax costs

I am running my second 1.3 Corsa diesel in succession and I am generally extremely pleased with it. Fuel consumption is a little higher than my previous one, probably because it is heavier as a result of the many additional 'goodies installed (eg heated steering wheel & seats, cruise control). The only thing that has disappointed me has been the performance of the particulate filter which has caused a warning light to appear every couple of months or so to require me take immediate action to warm the engine up enough to burn off the excess carbon.
