I was looking for an estate car and found the Zafira one of the cheapest estate/people carrier available on the market.I choose the petrol model because I do low mileage so the extra cost to purchase the Diesel and run it would never be recovered so was happy with the lost of MPG but saying that I have that I do get good MPG and found the car to be great and very practical as its a estate car, people carrier, and if required a van. This model has been around for a good few years but I see this as a good thing as this car has been improved over the years so making it a better car with few chances of any major issues.

The Zafira (bought one year old in 2004) is a versatile vehicle for a one car household, and surprisingly comfortable for the price. The 1800cc engine performs well on long journeys, though it is a bit too eager in towns. Fuel economy not fantastic, but in keeping with the weight of the vehicle. As we use public transport much of the time, we do not do a high mileage. This is the longest we have kept a car before (second hand) replacement. The air-con & a few other electric items have failed and are not worth replacing, similarly the trim and some paintwork are deteriorating, but we are loathe to part with the car, as the accommodation is so good.

The seats are quite firm so on long journey's you feel got to stop and have a walk around to get some feeling back into your back and legs, other wise the car is very good, and needed to buy a spare wheel, as none supplied.

Would definitely recommend this car to family with children or students, plenty of space and very easy to convert to a 7 seater.

while it costs more in fuel than I would prefer, It has been a reliable car and has held luggage, 7 people etc. quite comfortably

This is my third Zafira but first in the new model, and I love this car! My dog has plenty of room in the back, while its still comfortable and has plenty of leg room for my daughter on the back seat. Driving wise I could drive it for hours and have done, its easy to get in and out of as I have a bad back you don't have that drop down sensation you get in a normal car. Highly recommend it for families, and dog owners.

A BLIP AT TIMES WITH FUEL FILTERS BUT OTHERWISE RUNS OK , CUMFORTABLE FOR LONG JOURNEYS, WILL RECOMEND.

But the car is definitely showing its age AND mileage. I used to do 20K per year now down to around 8, so the early use took its toil on the cars' performance and appearance.

My Zafira is 10 years old, has a petrol/LPG engine but I can currently only run it on petrol. I had a slight bump in it at about 3 miles an hour in November 2012. This upset the LPG system and although I have spent over £700 on it since no one has come up with the answer to put it right. It still hesitates occasionally when run on gas and have had the crank sensor replaced twice during this time due to the engine hesitating. The latest opinion on what is wrong is the LPG injectors are worn causing the gas pressure to fluctuate BUT stocks of Vauxhall injectors are all used up, alternative injectors are available but the relevant linkage to fit them is almost impossible to get and will cost £500 to supply and fit, My Vauxhall Zafira is a lovely car to drive but expensive to run on petrol, although, over the years it has not proven to be cheaper when run on LPG because parts and labour for repairs and servicing have proven so expensive. I would not recommend a petrol/ LPG car to anyone in light of my experience.

Last new car purchase needed to have flexible seating arrangements with space for equipment, reasonably priced without to many complicated extras which the Zafria gave me

Having had my car for almost 6 years, I have found it to be one of the most reliable I have owned also the most comfortable to drive. It's not the most economical car on the road and the road fund licence is rather high especially when I do less than 3K a year in it but, if I had the choice I would certainly have another.

Overall a great car. Some manufacturer problems with the fuel line, but seems to be resolved now. Not happy with the security of the spare wheel under the car as has been stolen once!

SEATING CONCEPT IS GOOD BUT RELIABILITY LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED.

I use a Zafira because I need to transport large and awkward items, including a screen and moving daughter to Uni and moving house.

Bought as used and was just what we needed. Used as both 5 or 7 seats dependant on needs .Childrens sports and hobbies means we can carry team mates , other dancers equipment etc . Never let us down in the four years we have had it apart from expected wear and tear.Spare and general upkeep has been very reasonable price including servicing . Will be buying more recent or similar type in next 6 to 18 months.

Much more spacious and comfortable than the original Zafira. Very powerfull and responsive, giving superb handling great ride. Well thought out interior, if there was one draw back this would be the wide front door pillars, when entering a right hand bend, tends to block vision

My Zafira has been the family workhorse. It can get all of us, plus guests and luggage, in comfort to holiday destinations and has a large load space for moving larger peices of furniture and equipment. All round permormer: just wish it cost less to run.
