I have a 2008 Zafira It is a 1.6 Litre petrol engine. Very nice driving position with good all round views. Cockpit a bit plastic and could do with being a bit more on the quality side. Two seats in the floor are useful when need to carry more people. Normal passenger seats push right up and makes the space in the rear huge for car boot or market day. Economy is around 36-38 MPG urban and around 40-42 MPG on a run. Running costs are reasonable and no real nasty suprises. Speed is not important as it is a family car but motorway driving at 70 MPH around 4000 RPM is pretty comfortable. I paid £5000 for it on dealer finance and i find this reasonable at 8% flat. When it comes to replacing it i would consider buying the same model again.

This is our 2nd Zafira and I think that says it all!

Petrol engine is powerful enough to haul along a full load and is very quiet, also no road noise. Fuel economy is 35mpg under all conditions which is a bit disappointing, I used to get the same fuel figures off my earlier cars over 30 years ago! Running costs apart from fuel are very reasonable. However tyres are very expensive! Comfort: Good on long motorway journeys, but apart from that very uncomfortable on normal roads, due to stiff suspension and the terrible state of our roads. I have just come out of hospital after major surgery and the journey home from the hospital was hell. My driver had to crawl along to manoeuvre the uneven road surfaces and avoid pot holes etc. Reliability has been good apart from an air conditioning fault that our Vauxhall main dealer couldn't fix, had to go to a air con specialist Space and practicality excellent, that's why we chose this make/model

Great car for a family as seats can be collapsed/moved around depending on number of people to be carried or amount of luggage/dogs etc. Seats do not have to be removed but collapse into floor. However, cannot carry much luggage if all 7 seats up - not even room for a buggy and leg room in back seats not enough for an adult on a longer journey. Engine is a bit underpowered for weight of vehicle and fuel consumption is not particularly good especially when driving in built-up areas. All in all, I have enjoyed my Zafiras and will miss their versatility when I downsize now that my children have grown up.

I have driven a Zafira now for over 10 yrs and have been more than satisfied with its performance especially the diesel version. It is easy to get in and out of for me with a back problem and is comfortable for long journeys.

Really good family car bought 7 years ago. Lots of space, excellent boot. The 1.6 engine offers good performance, the acceleration and ability to stay at high speed is great. The car is a bit dated now as it's 7 years old, doesn't have an iPod connection for example. I've spent a lot of money recently on repairs such as electric windows, exhaust, wheel bearings and ignition pack. All in all a good family car. 62,000 miles and still going bar the above mentioned. Would I buy another one? No. My kids are older and don't need the space. Something more sporty now I think. And not a Vauxhall. I want a BMW or an Audi although can't afford either : (

It has plenty of boot space for a large dog and it is easy for the dog to enter and exit. Also, when family visit it is handy to have two extra seats that can be quickly utilised. The higher seating is good for the back. The negative side is a blind area from the windscreen pillar when taking some corners.

Petrol consumption is worse than I would like on Hills and short journeys. Ok on level and longer journeys Grip on compacted snow and ice is poor so I tend not to drive in these conditions. Do not feel it cost effective to change tyre for the relatively few times I have had problem as I am retired and do not necessarily have to drive. Would prefer to have a spare wheel with Tyre fitted

Low miles per gallon , poor visibility from panels between front and sides. Indicators do not stay on when pressed. Parts expensive including tyres. However, spacious, comfortable and reliable.

Generally reliable , very practical given it can convert into 7 seater in a couple of minutes, excellent for transporting boys football team! only issue is the engine management light occasionally will come on for no apparent reason, which doesn't seem to be logged when garage check. Despite being able to carry 7 people (two in very back hav confined space so need to be short) is not an unreasonable size to manoeuvre round town.

I love it - I was dubious at first as it is diesel, but it is very economical, very roomy, and comfortable, with plenty of space for my mother's wheelchair, so I would go for a Zafira again. I haven't really used the extra two seats at the back but, when the family come, it is very helpful to have the extra seats, but it does mean that the wheelchair cannot be taken with us.

Excellent, bags of room to transport son & all his gear to and from University over the 4 years he was there, also use all 7 seats on occasions to transport team members to various Rugby/Football games. NEVER had any mechanical problems, and has sailed through MOT every time with minimal problems (occasional light bulb or wiper required.

Over all good economy and good space/seating. Powerful engine with only a few problems, such as exhaust particulate filter (twice). I would buy another.

We have had 3 Vauxhall Zafira cars through the Motability scheme. We have had excellent service from all of them. The new Zafira Tourer leased this year is even more comfortable and in the almost 9 months we have had it, there have been no problems at all. It is also a good tow car, pulling our caravan at 1350 MTPLM with no problems. The on screen displays are much better than previous Zafiras. I miss the heated seats though ! My review is based on my experience as a passenger in this vehicle.
