Fairly quick for the money and has been pretty reliable. Fairly good car but the low profile tyres keep going flat due to pot holes.

My Focus ST3 is a great car apart from the optional SonyDAB radio/CD navigation system with rear view camera,5" TFTdisplay etc.(grossly overpriced). The ONLY thing that is made by SONY is the control panel yet the system was sold to me as a SONY system when in fact it is made by Bosch.Since takng delivery I have had nany problems with this option,in fact Ford have still not fully sorted out or know how to sort out. After 11 months of communication with Ford Customer Relationship Centre I am sick fed up with Fords could not care less attitude. The hazard warning/camera warning is basically worthless unless you take your eyes off the road to look at screen as audible pre warning is is absolutely useless. I wish I had kept my Focus RS

Generally very satisfied reasonably good on fuel average for comfort, tyre noise not good, low maintenance only once a year for annual service.

This diesel engine is not reliable. The diesel DPF system is basically flawed and not suitable for modern driving. More warning should be given to motorists about using fuels with cleaning agents to prevent Various problems caused by soot/carbon deposits in all types of modern diesel turbo engines.

Bought this used 4 years ago and have found it spacious, great boot size and practical. It's also been very reliable and not too costly to run.

I have had my focus from new, being almost 10 years now and doing in excess of 124,000 miles! The car does what I want it to do; gets me from A to B [and back again]. It is a good and reliable car, in spite of the lack of care and attention I have given it over the years. Running costs have been reasonable with the odd larger repair work in the later years. I think it is great.

Owned since new, been a good runner, comfortable around town and on a long motorway run. The 1.6 Diesel engine has enough power to cruise effortlessly with a fully loaded car at 70mph on a motorway and doesn't take too long to get there either. Great handling around corners and grips the road really well, even in the wet. My only gripe with the car is that the fuel pump after 3 1/2 years became completely clogged and choked the car out causing a loss and power and sudden stoppage of the engine. Simple fix in the right hands but a massive inconvenience. Overall though a good car, very happy.

Had our Ford focus for 7 1/2 years now. She has 162000 miles on the clock - all but 20000 we have put on her, she's taken us to France twice a year every year, and although she's not got all the "mod cons" of a newer car I wouldn't swap her for the world!! She's had the normal tyres, brakes, timing belt @ 100000 miles - due another one soon (lol), etc but she's so reliable!!

Seeing as I can't afford a beamer or A5, then my Ford Focus comes a distant but pleasant third. I get 40 plus on general driving; fine. It's a touch sluggish on an uphill drag but it's only yer dinky 1.6 - it doesn't relish three passengers either, but it gets you there if less racily. Insurance and tax? Come on!Yearly we are stripped of funds, goddammit . . .I've always liked the gear shifts on Fords - mind you, I'm going back a hundred years to compare original minis and especially, those 1100s - gearshifts like wooden spoons in the christmas mix. Wait; that's taking me back to garage car salesmen. Excuse me while I strangle an imaginary chicken . . . I can't write any more - I'm too upset . . .

visibility an issue!! 1.side pillars much thicker and together with the front passenger headrest present a visibility problem at junctions. 2. when sun is shining through front windscreen onto dashboard top the reflection on inside of screen is severe. is anything available to eliminate dash top shine??. otherwise car is good, but consumption could be better [42mpg]

Purchased new from Dagenham Motors for £16,200 list price would have been £21,500 .The discount makes it fantastic value for money. The road holding is superb ,build and finishes very good. This is my fifth new ford all have been brilliant .

The econetic Focus is the best mpg car I've ever had. Great car had no problems yet. It surprised me how fast off the mark it is, especially as it's a diesel engine. Only ever sat in drivers seat, but comfy to drive. The only negative for me is that the front windscreen does not demist clear as fast as my old Mondeo did.

Our car is a faithful friend who has never let us down. Now over 100,000 miles and still plodding on. It has been regularly serviced and we have had a few big repair bills due to the rotten nature of the local pot holes. But, we will be very sad when it finally becomes time to get a new model.

I bought the vehicle at just three years old with an unbelievable 10,774 miles on the odometer and paid a very good price in part exchange with another 05 plated Focus. This is the third Focus I have owned in a row. Very pleased with the comfort and reliability and the inside and outside finish. Although the Style model against the previous two models is not as good in "extras" I am passed the age of worrying about a lot of things and am entirely satisfied with the car and will keep it for at least another three years. To date I have found it to be all I hoped for and would purchase a similar model as long as this one runs as well as it has to date.

This is a company car, i downgraded from a Mondeo because of my company car tax. I would still have chosen a Mondeo if i had the money to spend. however the new focus is a great car, very roomy, fuel savvy and a good looker.

Bought this car off the book so to speak and have not been let down at all by any of the above ratings. Small engine, big heart. Lot's of room, easy access, it is just like sitting in an arm chair to drive. Travelled to London with all the bags and baggage for three and then onto the Isle of Wight for a holiday. Lot's of miles to the gallon. On the motorway had as per the computer, average of 75mpg!!!! On another trip to Scotland, my house to Wigtown and back on a tank full of PETROL. Cannot praise the car enough at the moment.

I have had my car since July and I am highly delighted with it.The ecoboost engine is very good and economical and still gives you good power from the 1 litre engine I picked the car up in the morning and then drove to Newcastle in the afternoon then the next day drove up to Muirfield in Scotland to the open golf championship and the car was great and my cousin was so impressed that he has bought one. I would recommend the Focus ecoboost to anyone such a great car

Decent car. The current Focus is not as spacious as previous models. In the back there is less leg room and passengers have complained. I need an automatic but had to opt for a 2 litre diesel rather than a smaller petrol engine -Ford did not provide a petrol engine automatic. Otherwise, a good car to drive, very reliable, economic and reliable
