as this is an old car it is beginning to show its age and becoming unreliable but has given us many good years life

I have had this car for one year. I have had no problem so far, it has not let me down. Occasional problem with sat nav being slow. Not always comfortable over bumpy roads etc. Very room space and boot. easy to drive. picks up speed quickly.

Bought from new and having covered 94000 miles so far the only issues have been a faulty alternator (replaced under warranty)and a split turbo hose. Otherwise no other issues at all and has been totally reliable. Comfortable to drive and a bit of poke if you need it, although the consumption isn't brilliant, averaging about 45 mpg, it's a lot better than all my previous petrol powered cars. Generally satisfied with all aspects of this car.

I have owned this car from new and have had three faults. The first was the drivers door glass would not clear of condensation when lowered then closed as did the passenger window, the dealer said the seal was not designed to to this but agreed to change it,the problem still exists. The second was the auxiliary output socket faulty on three occasions, this was resolved. The third was the windscreen plenum is distorted but this being external trim is only covered for the first twelve months.Overall I am very pleased with the car I like the load space with or without the rear seats lowered. It has good all round visibility but would benefit from rear parking sensors. The performance is excellent but the fuel economy could be better (28 per gal around town)but its not a small car.

Down sized from Granada & scorpios, tried 4x4 but have been delighted in every every way with this car. Large boot space takes large dog & shopping/luggage easily. Will be sorry when time comes to renew.

Been a good car, been reliable but now getting old, now nearly nine, yet very low mileage at 27,000 had a clutch pedal problem but told no problem yet I know there is. Do not rate local Ford garage at all. Only interest is selling new cars. Had problems with them so dont use, only use local garage for service and mot etc. When I change my car it will be a Citroen diesel C3 Picasso in the near future.

Ii would highly recommend a focus they have a comfortable interior and a deceptively spacious boot I can fit a family of 5 shopping in with no trouble at all It is enjoyable to drive . Easy to repair if/when neaded. I have owned other makes of cars but I keep coming back to a focus

Urban mpg disappointing around 25/30,much better on longer runs about 40+ Be good if the could apply auto gearbox to more economical engine, although I realise auto always do less mpg than manual gear box

I only bought this car since adopting a retired racing greyhound. Lady can spread right out in the back of the car in comfort (and she's a big dog!). We recently travelled home from the highlands of Scotland, it took ten hours and we had a couple of stops. Lady enjoyed her two comfort breaks but didn't hesitate to jump back into the car to continue the journey, sleeping soundly - so I guess that proves she's happy in it! Highly recommended.

The best Ford I have driven in 35 years of driving. It does not have the fittings or overall performance of some other makes but it is cheaper to run than the VW I used to have. Well worth considering if on a tight budget and wanting a good family car. It has a few niggles of design but then all makes do and there is nothing that I absolutely hate. I do however love th heated FRONT window. Every car in the UK should have one. Much better than relying on the blower and / or ice scraper in Winter. The screen is cleared in seconds on Frosty mornings

I love this car but wouldn't buy a newer model ST because I think the new models are seriously over priced compared to other sporty hatchbacks and I am more environmentally minded so will buy a "greener" car when I replace it. I haven't had a lot of repair bills between services other than wear and tear things such as tyres. I could reduce my running costs by not using super unleaded fuel but it does improve the performance of the car and luckily I can afford it. Although the car is ten years old, I hope I can keep it for a while yet because it only has 67,000 miles on the clock. It will be a sad day for me when I finally have to part with it.

As always Ford produce reliable cars. It is comfortable and easy to drive. I achieve just under 40mpg. Looks smart and easy to clean, Small enough to park yet carries 5 adults with ease.

This is the second Ford Focus Estate car I have owned. I find it suited to carrying a wheelchair in the back without having to fold it up.
