A perfect car to replace my old MG B Roadster it is so nice to press a button and the roof folds down. the car is powerful smooth running and feels like a normal Focus with the top up but more like a sports car with the top down, the best of both worlds. I am more than satisfied with the purchase

Automatic box has too many gears for a petrol model the box is always changing gear thus leading to expensive petrol bills. I think a 4 gear box for petrol would be fine. The car seems to have a firm ride therefore feeling all the bumps.

Not an exciting car to drive, but reliable and generally running costs are very reasonable. I have had car from new and feel that for a family mid range car it does what the publicity said it would.

It is easy to drive and comfortable. It has ample room for four people and the boot is reasonably spacious ie it will take two large suitcases. It's compliance on the road gives a feeling of reassurance because the driver knows that he/she is in control. The two litre engine gives good acceleration and economy ranges from 22mpg in town in winter to between 35 and 40 mpg on longer journeys at driven continuously at moderate/fast speeds (Much of north Wales has twisty roads and it is not possible to drive very fast. Also there are many areas covered by 50 mph speed limits). The dashboard (2008 car) is not very intuitive and cluttered with buttons, but has been updated in newer models. Even so, there is room for improvement. Running costs are reasonable. Base models are reasonably priced, but higher spec. models, with options added, have become quite expensive. Overall, it is no wonder it is a popular car.

A good car for me as it has performance

This is my third Focus and I find it reliable . It has a good driving position. Moving from a 5 gear Focus I originally found the 6 gears awkward but not now. I like the keyless entry/starting /locking on the car, also the facilities offered by the in-car computer. I should point out that I have the servicing done by a local main dealer.

I'm not a petrol head... the car has been totally reliable for three years, its comfy and even on a motorway (70/75mph) I get 53/55mpgal. At first I was concerned that the car would be underpowered, but uphill more often than not its the car in front that's slowing down first - so no problem there. The heated front and rear screens are great for winter. One minor downside is that the boot is slightly smaller than the previous model, but not by much, and it has only been inconvenient once. All in all I recommend the car whole heartedly.

I have had this car just over a year and, to date, have spent £1500 on her. I had her two months when the alternator "died" this was fixed under warranty.Since then the car has needed a new starting motor, injector pipes etc, but not injectors, due to diesel leaking. It cost me over £500 to get her through the mot this year. I do like the car, she is lovely to drive (turbo) tows my caravan like a dream is comfortable. when she is running well I am very happy with her. She is 10 years old and as an older car things will go wrong but I always seem to be having to get things sorted. I expect to replace things such as brakes, battery etc, but to have three major repairs done in 15 months I am not happy about. I paid £3700 for her JULY 2015.

I can honestly say my Focus has been one of the best cars I have ever owned

Excellent car. I like the automatic lights and windscreen wipers etc.

An excellent car - and a great pity it is no longer produced. (I find this sort of thing not untypical of the Ford Motor Company - they probably considered it better value for money than they thought it should be (in terms of the their desired profit margins)).

Bought 2nd hand, the Ford Focus 2.0 TDCi Titanium is the best car I have ever owned. It is light years ahead of the Escort I owned previously and represents real value for money - what I paid for it and running costs. The o0nly criticism I have is that it is quite heavy on front tyres but this is probably because I drive too quickly into corners. The car is comfortable and has a reasonable level of 'extras'. Compared to the likes of the BMW/Volvo/Merc, the Focus is quite basic but it is an economical car that has proved to be very reliable over 120,000 miles. I would buy another.

This is the Titanium model - I love all the extras (automatic headlights/wipers, Bluetooth, digital radio, keyless entry, auto stop/start etc). Very reliable and good performance.

Ford garage servicing price is far too high.

Spacious and comfortable but eats fuel in an urban environment and the parcel shelf is shockingly flimsy (and stupidly expensive to replace) for a family car where the boot is part of the attraction and so gets a lot of use for shopping, luggage, pushchair etc.

Ford Focus - excellent fuel consumption, comfortable with good road holding. Servicing costs OK - no repairs required outside normal servicing. When purchased disappointed with trim level, this is Titanium (wanted cruise control) but other trim items less than previous Mondeo Ghia. Do not like idea of 'extra pack options' & would prefer the old idea of levels of trim.

I have been very impressed with my Ford Focus estate. I have never owned a Ford car before but wanted a make with a local garage which really dictated why I went for a Ford. The amount of boot space in the estate is excellent and the drive extremely comfortable. My wife loves all the technology, especially the built in satnav and the entertainment package, although I have to say I hate technology and still don't know what half the gadgets do. My only quibble is that the petrol consumption is nowhere near the manufacturer's estimated figures however carefully or slowly I drive.

Reliable but unexciting car that would have benefited from more boot space.

I have had this car for 9 years and it was 1 year old when I bought it. I have had it serviced every year ( I only do about 3000 miles per annum) at my local Main Dealer and up to this year have only had normal replacements but now because of its age I am having to have more and costly parts replaced. I am considering replacing the car - probably with a smaller and newer one fairly soon. Having said all that I have been very pleased with the car and the Dealership which looks after it.

One of the most comfortable, spacious, easy car I have ever driven.
