Ideal family car. Good comfort, practical boot space, nice to drive and economical too.

My Ford Focus 2lt Estate has a Titanium spec and one or two extras paid for by the original owner. It is the very comfortable, SOLID, responsive and reliable. I think it has the comfort and specification equal to a car of another make at much higher cost.

Reliable and comfortable. Like the heated windscreen and easy fill for fuel

Tinny, underpowered, feels very fragile, various problems with dashboard lights, roof in back too low to fit large car seat in fully extended.

This is my third Ford Focus. All my Fords have been 1600 petrol. Unfortunately this particular model is very lacking on performance. It appears that the performance has been sacrificed for economy. The gear ratios are higher, giving higher speeds at lower revs. I am having to use the gears a lot more to maintain a constant speed, particularly when going up hills. Before with my previous Ford Focuses, I have been able to leave the car in fifth gear when ascending hills. I now have to change down to fourth and sometimes second gear. One particular concern is when I use the slip road to access a major road or motorway, I have to drop down to a low gear and rev the car like mad to be able to filter safely into the inside lane of traffic. I think that is very dangerous. However, this version of the Ford Focus is quieter and more comfortable. Also the fuel consumption is a lot better.

The car is simply perfect for me. It comfortable, stable on normal roads at normal speed. It is practical for all general family use. It carries a wheelchair in the boot with comparative ease and still leaves room for the shopping. It is well equipped, certainly with enough tech to satisfy me. It is a delight to drive in any traffic or weather condition that I,ve met to date. And every control is in the right place for me. Fuel bills are reasonable and service charges excellent. I am very happy.

I drive the one litre turbo Focus Titanium, on both local journeys and distance utilising motorways and A and B roads. Driving locally fuel consumption just under 40mpg whilst m/way doing constant 70mph approaches 50mpg. I think the most economical is 60mph which you need to stick to on A9 in Scotland. (the joy of cruise control). Power : there is a slight lack of power on acceleration, especially on hills but once over 3000rpm this picks up ok, no problems maintaining 70mph with cruise control on(power in reserve in case of emergency). Comfort : the seats are comfortable for long journeys and the sound system and other attributes of the titanium make a journey enjoyable. Overall this model is a comfortable car with economical fuel useage for local journeys and for the occasional longer outing, the driving experience is adequate, steering/suspension ok, but we do experience tyre noise on some m/way surfaces which is probably down to the larger tyre size (215 55 16).

A good practical car for every day use, with enough comfort and performance to cope well with longer journeys. Running costs and reliability are perfectly satisfactory.

An excellent car to drive, good road handling

Good all round car. 1.8 has good performance and handles well. Not yet run out of space inside (big enough to sleep in with the back seats down). Tows a 750kg trailer well. Average of about 31mpg. Ghia spec comes with cruise control which is great. Lumber support useful on long journeys. Auto wipers can be a bit irratic at times. Apparently more headroom in the back than the front. Back seats have plenty of legroom. Not yet found something it can't do.

I love my focus, really solid car and has been incredibly reliable. A few pet hates though, I can't see out the back window so very tricky to reverse park if you have the choice get parking sensors. Water will drip inside the car off the roof if you have a window open when it's been raining, it's the angle of the door that's the problem. Really large boot space even with the roof down

I find it very difficult to judge the length of the vehicle when parking. I leave too much space in front of the vehicle. Comfortable. Low maintenance. easy to drive.

This is the car I dreamed off for years as a petrol head. It ticks all the boxes, power, smoothness, handling, brakes, quietness. It has the solid feel that the Focus is famous for along with practicality of a Hatchback. It is not all that good though. Petrol consumption is not good ranging between 23mpg and 33mpg depending how it's driven. I accept it because you don't get that performance without using some fuel. In 33500 miles it's only fault was a rear brake caliper, but it has passed all MOT's first time. I would not change it for anything and would recommend one to any one who wants a practical performance car. The Ford service backup has also been excellent.

This is the second Focus I've had, and I compare it to the VW Golf GTi which I had previously. It isn't as responsive going through the gears, or from standing, and it has a much wider turning circle, but it was less expensive than a Golf. The biggest advantage to me is the heated front windscreen as I have no garage so the car is always parked outside. This was especially relevant when I was working and I used the car to travel to work. Also, I particularly appreciate the boot space , which is fairly rectangular with no awkward bits sticking out which hinder packing a full load. I have carried 4 people (including myself) with their luggage for a week's holiday with only a minimal amount of baggage having to be carried in the interior
