This is the first Ford I've owned and I can only say good things about it. Comfortable and roomy, it has done over 140,000 miles and is very reliable. The bodywork has a little rust in places but I would expect that in a thirteen year old car that is not kept in a garage. I have owned it for eight years and never once thought of changing it. I have a feeling I will be disappointed when it finally needs replacing as I'm not sure I will find a car I like as much.

I'm underwhelmed by my Focus - it's all right, goes, stops, reasonable comfortable, but I can't think of a single thing I like about it. A totally anonymous small car.

Reliable, comfortable and practical for the average family or couples car.

Excellent small estate which is easy to park in the existing small car parking spaces

My 1.8 diesel Ford Focus estate suits my life/driving requirements when with a passenger who uses a wheel chair. It is very much an open road car (of which I do lot) and not really very sensible for in-town trips (of which I do very little) and dense traffic.

I have been driving a Focus ever since they first came out - and in that time must have driven 6 or 7 different cars. I have been very satisfied on all points, and have never felt a need to change to another make or model.

Having owned this car for approaching three years it has been one of the best cars I've owned. Performance is better than average, as you'd expect from a 2.5L turbo power plant, but the car is a joy to drive gently as well as briskly. Fuel economy isn't class leading and I average mid thirties (MPG) on town and country roads and low to mid forties (MPG) on the motorway. With the exception of fuel, running costs have been low with the car requiring little attention apart from routine servicing. I use an independent Ford specialist who offer better prices and service than the main dealer. The car is a joy to drive and the front seats are very comfy, the suspension is firm but not rock hard and the ride is more what you'd expect from a GT car rather than an all out hot hatch. It works equally well for long journeys as for a quick B-road blast but if all out handling is what you're looking for you should consider the RS version over the ST. Build quality is good, I've had a few squeaks and rattles but nothing that hasn't been easy to resolve. Any minor issues have been easy and quick to sort myself and there are some fantastic online resources if you're looking to take the car to the next level or just do some mechanics yourself. Would I buy again? Yes, without a doubt

Great for running about locally but underpowewered for motorway or longer journeys. Heated front screen is great, easy to drive, holds the road well & comfortable. Boot surprisingly big for a small car.

I purchased a new Focus with the 1L economy engine. I love the car but find the fuel consumption is not as good as cliamed by Ford. I get an average of about 40-45 mpg. This has been the only disappointment but an important issue as the main reason for ourchasing this model was the fuel economy claimed by Ford.

"Sport" is not really relevant for a 1.6 diesel but performance is adequate not much pull below about 1800rpm but quite torquey above this. A bit noisy at motorway speeds where I do a lot of my driving and not so comfortable on a long run but fuel consumption is very good with average of 63 mpg indicated on the computer. The entertainment system is good but the sat nav is a bit second rate no touch screen a bit unclear and quite easily confused- not as good as an after market unit. Ford warranty limited to 62,000 miles or three years whichever is sooner. Not so good these days.

I have been driving Ford Focus models for a few years now and would not go back to other types of car. It is reliable, not expensive to run, roomy and comfortable.

I rent a lease car via my employer (NHS) I previously had a Ford Fiesta Titanium which was very nippy and ideal for overtaking safely. The new "green" focus cars are great in every respect (fuel economy, and comfort/ space of interior/ road handling but does labour on hills and not good at slower speeds in 3rd gear, and not great for quick overtaking speeds due to the lower engine size in relation to the car size. Miss my nippy fiesta!

Basically satisfied with it in every respect. However, it is not top of the range so there is always room for improvement.

both myself and my wife drive the car, her more than me, I wanted a slightly larger car, VW or Volvo but gave in to her.I find the Focus poor performance and not roomy enough and will be changing it in the near future for a TDi auto saloon, Jetta or S40. My wife thinks it's OK but will be happy to change. We had a VW TDi previous to the Focus and it was a far superior vehicle but was written off by a lorry hitting it while parked leaving us without a vehicle, hence the panic buy of the Focus.

My Focus is, by far, the best car I have ever owned. So much so I am planning on getting another one. The only reason I want to change because as a 2 litre petrol engine it's quite fuel thirsty and with todays prices - that expensive.

Nice car but purchased from dealer with house only (no garage premises) Had to rectify faults!!!! Advice to purchasers BEWARE.

I found the car to be unreliable on many components. It needed a new Turbo after 70k, Crankshaft totally wrecked after 98k plus starter motor faults, Battery faults, seized handbrake components on 2 occasions. The car itself was very comfortable to drive and the Ghia model extras were a nice touch but thats no good if the car is off the road having expensive repairs done.
