My litle car is very reliable and reasonably cheap to run.

We have owned this car from new for just over ten years. Whilst it has needed quite a few repairs and the normal mainenance, only one bill was over £300 and this included the 4 year full service. Overall, the car has served us well and I would recommend it. We intend to keep it for another 2 -3 years given our low usage now we are retired of under 2000 miles a year.

Reliable car which has given us good service over the years. Would consider buying another one at a later date.

Great small car for town and distance use. Boot capacity , especially when the rear seats are lowered, is marvellous. Does not have the fastest of engines - but this I do not require.

I feel that this model suits my needs perfectly.It is eco friendly and very economical.It has enough room for my shopping in the boot and ample seating.

3rd corsa that I have had, only kept this one so long as I do very low mileage. Good car always been very pleased with it. Believe new corsa is better more economical and cheaper to run.

An economical and reliable car

I'd all ways avoided Vauxhall in the past, but when there was no other options available, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the car was thought out, how well it performed compared to it's economical attributes. The only real problem I have with the car is the design of the gear-stick, which requires you to pull up a collar to select reverse. This is only a mild niggle, but I have found the the clutch cable constantly slipping the bite, making gear selection, at times, clunky and inaccurate. this is an easy fix, but the problem comes back every month or so.

It has been quite reliable, things that have gone wrong were the indicator relay that needed replacing, the bulb behind the odometer, one number plate bulb, and a tail light bulb, both headlamp bulbs, the handbrake cable broke - I use the handbrake a lot, a couple of short rubber hoses on the engine split - the material has been improved now, and a plastic nozzle on the engine for the radiator sheared off - the replacement is brass. I had to drill a hole under the dummy fog light / reflector as water was collecting in it and preventing the reflector from doing its job. All fairly minor. Front CV boot clips corroded away so new ones were fitted, and a couple of minor items on the front suspension were replaced during servicing - not expensive. One of the emission sensors in the exhaust needed replacing too as a warning light lit up. I've just recently replaced the indicator assembly as it wasn't always returning to the off position. It's never failed to get me to where I had to go, the glove box & wide boot are a good size, better than the later version Corsa. Throttle response sometimes seems to lag, not sure if that's because it's electronic and fuel consumption isn't great, perhaps 30-32 MPG which I think my 1970s beetle did.

It's never going to be fast, but this car is too big for such a small engine. Very poor fuel consumption. Reliability has been ok so far, 5 years of ownership now and no problems up to now. Changing the headlight bulbs is probably my biggest gripe - Vauxhall tell me they intentionally designed the car in a manner whereby you cannot change the bulbs yourself! £35 a go at the dealership for them to do it too! Not been a bad car, but I wouldn't buy another.

This is the second vauxhall corsa I have owned. I have stayed with the model as the previous one was reliable and also I live near the Vauxhall dealer I bought it from so easy to take it in for service etc. It did take me a while to adjust to a newer model and I found the instruction book complicated compared to the last corsa I had.However as I am retired now I do not use the car as much as I did the previous corsa I had. Overall though it is better than the older one, a bit bigger and more room for passengers. Like the automatic lighting it has and has a built in Satnav which the previous model did not have hence the more complicated instruction book.

I find this car very reliable easy to drive and very cost effective, it starts first time even after standing for several days without being used. The only reason to change it would be for extra comfort on the many long journeys I make.

I love my sxi: It is effortless to drive and its simple shape still looks good. It is cheap to run and reliable. No issues of aches and pains after a long journey. It has another life after 70 if you give it or you have the chance. The only draw back being, that some, like mine have a tendency to develop a leak into the drivers foot well, which has caused some consternation and inconvenience, but the fact that it is such a great little car, means that this is not much more than a niggle that spoils the perfect simpatico a little. It does have a poor turning circle, but so does the mini according to my friend who drives one! - On the plus side I am excellent at manoeuvring in small spaces, due to all of the practice!! I am in still in no rush to change my car, as most in the same bracket have little appeal over this one.

Because the car is a bit chunky, and with only a 1229cc engine I find I have to shift down gear to ascend prolonged/steep hills.

Convenient, compact but stylish car easy and inexpensive to run and very reliable.
